Can’t I just get my brakes painted after?

Porsche Surface Coated Brakes (PSCB) refers to the disk itself, not the caliper. You don’t paint the disk, but you can paint the calipers, or order them painted to your taste.

You can paint your callipers, but it’ll affect sale / trade-in value in the future if you go via a Porsche dealership.
The reason being is that they’ll need to return the calliper back to “Porsche spec”.
