New Porsche Recall/"Stop sell" - any details?

I was finally hoping to pick up my Taycan GTS (PP52ZW18) this weekend from Wolverhampton Porsche, but I got a call today saying that a new "stop sell" had come in from Porsche, which means they can't release my car for a few weeks or so. Apparently, someone was in the showroom yesterday to pick up theirs and wasn't allowed to drive it away.

Does anyone have details? The salesperson said it's probably a software update and he'll have more details next week.

It makes sense that it’s likely to be a software issue, given OPCs are just being asked to download data from certain cars and send it to Porsche, but in practice at this stage they have no idea.

It could be, but I’m not sure how that aligns with the OPCs simply being asked to send VAL data on the affected cars.

An interesting coincidence is they are all GTS variants (I think). Mine has been at Emden for a month and no word. No issue ls logged and but it hasn’t sailed. Mine’s Ice Grey, as are the other 2 on this thread (I think).

Was at my dealership today and it was to collect the wife’s car. Knowing from a conversation 2 days ago it’s still Emden. I mentioned how excited I am and the dealer just say there deadpan. Didn’t say a word, almost like he didn’t hear me.

whatever the reason, hope it’s nothing sinister.

It feels like this is all UK deliveries from what i've seen. Anyone from outside the UK get a stop sale?

Not sure if it qualifies as stop sale but I picked mine up Tuesday and on Wednesday Porsche released a service campaign so the dealer was unable to RDR the car. RDR is the process of transferring ownership in Porsche’s system. I’m bringing the car back Saturday so they can perform the campaign. All the info they have on the campaign is to connect the car to the Porsche network and send data to Porsche. The system will then tell them what the next steps are. They are prepping a loaner Taycan in case they are required to keep it.

I’ll post any additional info tomorrow after the visit.

This delay is on top of being stuck on the continent for 2 weeks and another 2 weeks at Grimsby. Its been a very frustrating month!

Ah, so it’s not just GTS variants. Next question then, is this only a stop sale for Taycans or are other Porsche models affected?
