Park assist with surround view ?

As someone whose spec is about to lock in a couple of weeks I am also interested in this. Are there any cons to the surround view? Propensity for malfunctioning? Do the extra cameras get smudged easily? Can the surround view be trusted 100%?

No negatives whatsoever.

Rear camera has a spray washer built in to keep clean. Mirror cameras never get dirty nor does the front bumper one.

Earlier cars had some oxidisation issues on one of the cameras but this has been addressed.

I quite like the automatic parking feature. Yes it needs a decently sized spot to be able to park but what really impressed me was the speed! It's fast to the point of scary.

So far no accidents or bumper scratches.

I'm also quite impressed with the self-parking stuff. I only use it for parallel parking, but for those it's similar in speed to when I do it myself, but it tends to be more confident and more accurate.
