I know a lot of folk are really attached to their polarized lenses but as we know the vast majority of these glasses won't work well or at all with HUD optics.
I have used GatorZ glasses for as long as I can remember, specifically their Wraptor model, but recently they have developed a polarized lens tech called OPz that allows use of polarized glasses with digital devices (tablets, watches, phones etc). These are not cheap glasses but I went ahead and bought a set of OPz Wraptors and can say that compared to the polarized and non-polarized Wraptors I already own that these are 70% of the way to non-polarized effectiveness with the HUD. They are still NOT as good as non-polarized but by amping up the brightness of the HUD display by +4 to +6 (out of 10), they approach near equality with non-polarized glasses.
EDIT: TO be clear - GatorZ state on their site that the OPz's are "partially polarized glasses" so clearly a compromise but appears to be an effective one.
EDIT: my system was reset at dealership re WNA5 update and hence why I lost the HUD brightness setting - it in fact does appear to be retained on shutdown/power-up.
One annoying thing though is that I believe the car does not seem to retain brightness adjustments of the HUD on shut down - need to research this a bit more (maybe if in Individual mode?), but that would remain a hassle if correct. Personally have always kept a non-polarized set in the car and the polarized for everything else and works for me but not everyone I suspect
