My Porsche Connect for my 4S has not worked since the update a few months ago. I took the car in recently for a two year check up and software update. They tell me that I need a new Porsche Connect component. In addition I have now lost voice activation and satellite image for the map. Has anyone else had these issues.

My quick answer is YES. I have that problem and a myriad of others. I've lost my Porsche account, my settings, can't program anything. Can only log in as "Guest." My dealer is frustrated too. Communications from the mother ship in Germany and Atlanta and to the dealers is not the best. Our car is 5 weeks old and the enjoyment level is rapidly going downhill. To make matters worse I had the dreaded" car goes into Park at a stop light" again. Of course my dealer said " never seen that problem before." Can't wait to fill out the JD Powers Survey ;-)

Try disconnecting 12v battery (5 mins max) to hard reboot.

My Porsche Taycan CT 4S (juli2021) is with dealer now for 8 days. Could only log in as a guest. All settings were gone. Until now I haven't heard from dealer. There is a direct connection with Germany (I was told) but still there is no answer to this problem. Unbelievable that Porsche is not able to solve these problems!!

My problem was very similar to yours. Dealer tried to help but basically gave up. I emailed Porsche Support but never got a response. Finally I called the 800 number. Got transferred to Kia, a wonderful, patient tech person. We deleted my account and reinstalled it. Took 5-10 minutes. Presto, everything is back working.

Very similar issue. After April backend update, I suddenly lost LTE connectivity. I figured this was because I could never get idiotic PCM to reprompt me for my password after update no matter what I did including rebooting the PCM. I knew dealership would have no clue so I called 800 number. Very helpful tech was aware of issue and asked me to delete my account and re-add it but that unfortunately still did not restore LTE. Lastly, he told me to reset PCM to factory (painful) but he told me beforehand there was a risk this would expose another bug where the add user option would be greyed out and of course that’s what happened. He said there’s a supposed fix for this but it requires reprogramming of PCM and can only be done by dealer. He was kind enough to call my local dealer, explain exact instructions to resolve this and get me expedited into the dealership next week. He said Porsche has some fixes in development for all these issue but I’m not clear if I’m getting beta version of this patch or what. I’ll update next week.

Just an update. The dealership resolved the LTE/missing account issue by performing the increasingly common
”terminal 30” reset. I now have another, mostly annoying, issue for which I can‘t find a solution in this forum. After I re-added my account back, the “automatic login” button cannot be selected from the accounts menu. When I restart the car, I get prompt if I want automatic login, which can be selected , but then I go accounts menu and it’s still not selected and the entire process repeats every time I start the car. Anyone else see this ? No functionality loss but incredibly annoying … Selecting login with or without pin makes no difference.

Try using your second key fob and secondary Porsche Connect ID to force a login switch and then revert to your primary.

Can you run this by me or one of my colleagues at 1-800-PORSCHE? I would like to have it officially documented and I want to get one of my trainers engaged on this, so we can learn how to possibly fix this before we have to send it to Germany and waste more of your time. Just ask for the Digital team and make sure they give you a case number for reference.
