Another forum mbr. shared his paper work somewhere on here and there is absolutely no mention of anything to do with an inclusion of an extension of an EA free charging contract - nor is there any mention of this on the Porsche Connect Store - poss. that the other user is confused and got a freebie from his SA or perhaps more likely the prior contract for some reason has not been cancelled properly and still available to him?

If free charging was part of Porsche Connect renewal I'm fairly sure that would be advertised front and center!
Paging @Capt Mike ..

OK - So partly correct, partly incorrect i.e. you apparently do get a 'reduced' charging cost at EA stations on renewing your Connect services after the three year are period is up - but most definitely it is not a free service on renewal:

Well, i guess that’s something - would be good to know what the discount is.

Thanks for sharing!

Every reply from PCNA to a customer message begins with 'I am sorry for the delay in response'.
If I receive a reply in 3 weeks (usually after resending once) I am lucky.

Piss poor customer-no-service from PCNA.

And notice in the reply to your message, the 'specialist" did not share what the discounted EA rate is. That would be another 3 to 4 weeks to try to retrieve.

Yeah that of course was the follow-up question and indeed who knows when I’ll hear back.

Year ago or so I mailed letter to PCNA VP of Customer Experience - by name.
3 or 4 weeks later brief email from some customer service rep with incomplete reply which started with 'sorry for the delay in reply'.
When it comes to replying to customer inquiries, PCNA management does not care.
If you are persistent in your follow-up, you may be able to pry something more out of them.

I've had very good results speaking with reps over the phone, not so much with the in-app messaging.

My experience with phone conversations with PCNA reps is that if the rep I get on the phone cannot personally answer the question or resolve the problem themselves during that call, but indicate they need to forward the matter to someone else in country or Germany, it has taken me repeated phone calls and weeks to find out if there is an answer, and what the answer is.
Maybe things have gotten better in the last 18 months.

Sorry to hear that. My experiences have only been since November but they were very helpful in getting my profile working properly, checking on CPO status, and even getting the original pass codes for my PMCC. Hopefully your poor experiences led to better customer service more recently.

PCNA customer service has been a black hole for me, when I had severe charging issues caused by a software bug they basically ignored my issue, somehow another owner with a similar problem was able to get the problem resolved and only after they acted on his behalf did they contact me about applying the patch.
their customer service is beyond poor and it is one reason that I am not replacing my taycan with another next month upon expiration of the lease.

Have you decided what it’ll be, then?

fwiw, in one year and 20k miles, I’ve only had to contact them once, and they’ve been responsive (albeit not necessarily helpful).

I too only needed to contact them once for a very serious charging issue and the response from both the dealership and PCNA was abysmal. Like I noted the issue wasn't resolved for me until another owner with the same problem was able to get someone to correctly diagnose the cause of the problem and then implement a fix. If there was no resolution I would have had to go through a lemon law/legal issues because the car was not usable to me.

I am getting a Lucid air GT.
the bottom line is for me range is king and the cost of the car is almost $1k a month lower. the car is as fast and similar in performance to the taycan.

the biggest things that the Taycan has over the Lucid is the body style and it's BMS is superior. other than that I am not giving up much.

Well I seem to be batting a high % with PCNA responses as they have come back again to my follow-up query as to what costs are involved with charging services post-3 years.

But again, the explanations seem less than clear!

Not sure what the annual $99 Porsche Charging Service Premium (PCSP) actually gives you other than access to a cheaper charging rate - but they seem to state that you have to have EA's Pass+ membership to get this reduced rate (which is an additional cost) OR I am prob reading this incorrectly i.e. do they mean PCSP comes inclusive of an EA Pass+ membership? OR that PCSP provides the same discount as an EA Pass+ mbship? Is there a different rate between PCSP+EA PAss+ vs having EA Pass+ and the free PnC capability?

In respect the latter, they say the Porsche Charging Service can be continued for 'free' - simply meaning that the Plug and Charge capability is 'free' to continue to use. Obviously w/o the PCSP or an EA Pass+ account you will be paying full price at EA stations via your MyPorsche account linked CC or if you are also paying for EA Pass+ then the rate associated with that membership - all of which is just fine.

However, there seems to be little difference between having a PCSP vs a standalone EA Pass+ account unless as I speculate above PSCP+EA PAss+ provides a better discounted rate?

Thoughts? :)!

@ciaranob this appears to be simply a “de-discounted” (or whatever is the opposite of a ‘saving’) form of EA’s standard Pass+ plan. That is, instead of paying EA 7$/month, one pays Porsche 100$/year. 🤷🏻‍♂️
