Porsche Swag and Heater Fix

Took my car in to my local AD yesterday for heater recall(took less than 24 hours) and this is what they put in my front seat - kudos for A+ customer service and building client loyalty

After my third heater replacement (I am now on my fourth heater), my dealer left a whole shopping bag of swag on the passenger seat. I would actually just prefer a working heater! But it was a nice gesture.

Hopefully a sweater / hoodie / gloves / etc to keep you warm when it comes time for the fifth?

I'm now scheduled for my "courtesy replacement." Here's to hoping they have it all sorted out for good this time!

I sent this post to my service guy as they installed the new heater. When I came back, he took me into the showroom and fitted me with a nice Porsche pullover and coffee mug, over $200 in merch. Thanks for the tip!

That is indeed a great way to engender a good feeling and loyalty. I run a global business, about 25% of which is B2C. It's those small things with consumers that make a huge difference.

Dropped off at 7:30 this morning, and by 9:02 am I had an email & text with the inspection video showing the new heater installed and all other inspection checks performed. A surprising bit faster than the "couple of days" the service advisor told me when I dropped it off. Quite the opposite of complaining here though. I'm super pleased with the service!
Based on the video this looks to be a relatively easy thing to swap out. The tech notes the thing he is touching there is the HV Heater. Not sure if it is the black blob or the metal box below (or both), but it looks relatively accessible either way.

As an added bonus my wife got to test drive the loaner 2024 Macan briefly and is coming around to the possibility that we don't need to haul a Costco's worth of kid crap around with us at all times ?
