Private plates - cheesy or cool?

We don’t have personalized plates here. And with a standard plate number you can lookup a lot of information of the car, including purchase price, first date of registration, registration date current owner, number of owners incl private/company owned, etc.

Almost the only information which is not publicly available is name and address.



I would definitely go for personalized plates if that was possible.

I have a private plate on retention (JH16GNS - my name is John Higgins). However, I can't decide whether to put in on the GTS when it arrives.

What do people think of 'low value' private plates. If I could find/afford JON 1 then I'd go for that one obviously! ?

Already done the ''willy swinging plate when the 4S was new back in '21' but all too recognisable when hooning around the place. I find this to be THE best UK sourced private reg out there ;-/

When I first got a job after Uni, I got the nickname Dr Bob (it was while ago .....70's!).

Surprised there were so many of these plates were available. These days though, no one seems to know who Dr Bob was.
