I haven’t seen any posts yet showing movement from the San Diego port. Has anyone heard anything of substance? I know most of our dates updated to 12/31 but have any cars left the port yet?

My SA is very conservative about it. He is saying that Porsche will take possession of the cars next week. Transport after that. He is estimating the delivery to the customers after Xmas at worse next year.
Sorry this is not something you want to hear. I do not want to believe it.

my SA is up in NorCal and he said he is seeing about 1-2 days on average to process at the port and then he has the car same day. They do 1-2 days for PDI so estimating not more than a week after port arrival. He did say he has seen up to 5 days for port processing (which might make sense if they don’t process at the weekend).

My SA just checked this evening and can confirm the San Diego cars have not been released yet for transport, but expects this to happen “soon.” Also, no open campaigns for mine at least, which is nice.

I’m going to throat punch someone ? Lol. I’ve been out of town so I’ve been pretty calm but I fly back tomorrow night and all bets are off.

Gotta love the “soon”. Thanks for responding though, I just wanted to make sure we have all continued to be in the same boat.

Just checked my TYD - it suddenly updated to "12 - Port Processing". My car is in Benicia. However, neither the actual dates of the previous steps nor the estimated delivery dates have changed. Delivery still shows 1/14/22 in Salt Lake City, but my SA says he is very confident I'll be able to take delivery before 12/31.

Honestly, TYD is a good idea, but the implementation is so poor that it's almost useless.

Have any of you San Diego folks gotten your cars released for transport to your dealers yet?

Excellent! I’ve been checking the site every hour as well as the current draught which is unchanged. My date is also still at 12/24 to Sacramento area.

Agree about TYD, it’s something I guess but the updates are so random and unreliable as to be more infuriating than helpful.

I'm "Port Processing" in Benicia too despite the ship's draught not actually changing. Delivery date in Bay Area still unchanged for 1/7.

Am actually in no rush to take the car. Think I might actually sell it upon delivery. A few factors for why I can foresee delays:

1) Omicron is spreading like wildfire. Regardless of your opinion of severity and lockdowns, etc., people can't work if they test positive, and *everyone* is testing positive, so it's likely that the supple chain even between Benicia and dealer will be impacted.

2) We're 5 days from Christmas. I imagine there is a massive rush to get stuff to people and also people are a bit more sleepy this time of year. Everything moves a bit more slowly.

I texted my dealer to get a final price for my car and he told me that he received an exit notification so expects the car in a day or so. Yay!
That seems consistent with my TYD now stating “actual completion” of Port Processing. Hopefully I’m now also just waiting for a transport to SLC.

This is crazy. My date has been showing 12/24 for the past 2 months. Now it shows the same as you, Port Processing complete 12/19 but the delivery date is 1/7. Surely that’s can’t be right.

My delivery date also moved from 1/14 to 1/7 today, but it has to be sooner than that. I’m hoping for 4-5 days from now since the car needs to get to SLC.

My TYD also updated today to 1/7. Fingers-crossed for my 2021 to be actually delivered in 2021. ?
