So I'm now the proud owner of a 2023my Taycan Sport Turismo RWD std battery.
Very pleased so far, apart from a few niggles.

Braking Regeneration / Recuperation not working on braking...
Kick-back / clunk through brake pedal on release, every time....
Wireless phone charger gets the phone insanely hot and decreases battery faster than it charges..
Passenger door card rattles when playing music...

Now before OG taycan forum users jump in here and say these are all know issues on the forum and I shouldn't have started a thread about them, I do have a valid question....
Does any one know a work around to "bed in" the brakes so the regeneration starts working? I've done 1,000 miles in the car now...

Ps the Porsche Masterclass expert hasn't heard of any bedding in time required on the Taycans and requested I send him a video of the problem..

I think regen should have started by now.

So, you don’t see any green in the power radial gauge in the center of the instrument cluster when braking?

My new 2022 CT4 picked up in Dec started using braking recuperation with the first 50 miles. I was not expecting it to but that’s what happened for me. I was not driving it like a maniac, just some normal sporty driving.

Mine is using it - noticed it after about 100 miles but may have been before. The green bar is definitely there when I brake light to medium pressure.

It was about 900 miles for me so perhaps a bit more patience. I wonder if it depends on how often you are needing to brake - determining when regeneration first starts. I understood there is a requirement for the breaks to bed in both initially, then the first mile or so of each journey.

What do you mean regen is not working? When you press the brake pedal, does the power meter swing to the left and show green? That's regen.

Or do you mean there no regen when you're just coasting? On Porsches, the default is to just cruise with the drivetrain decoupled. If you want a little regen when you let off the 'gas' you can hit the regen button on the steering wheel.

Mine took nearly 4000 miles. Probably because I'm very gentle with brakes.

Mine was around 600 miles. I understand it depends on brake applications and pressure applied

Perhaps share with the 'Master Class' person (from the Owner's manual):

Operating principle
Bedding in and cleaning the brakes
The vehicle has a braking recuperation system that feeds some of the braking energy back into the high voltage battery. In order to bed in the wheel brake, the recuperation system is deactivated briefly on new vehicles or after changing the brake pads and this reduces the range. To assist in cleaning the brakes, the recuperation system is deactivated for a short time after standstill times of more than 6 hours. The recuperation system is activated again automatically afterwards.

The actual mileage when this kicks in on a new car or indeed after pad changes or brake fluid replacement is a bit of a shifting target and will vary between cars due to local conditions and usage.

From new I had the recuperation activate around 500 - 650 miles (can't honestly remember but there is an obvious visual cue when this occurs). After the 2 year service (part of this is to replace the brake fluid) and 18,000 miles the recuperation was inactive for around 2 weeks.

Yes under braking the "bar" doesn't swing to the left (green). I can activate regen by the switch, but when I then brake rather than the bar increasing it decreases with the brake pressure applied.

Its rather frustrating really as I feel I am not getting the benefit of regen. I also drive conservatively to gain max from a full charge (currently getting 209 miles on std battery) so I am guessing the brakes will take even longer to bed in... Hopefully not 3,200 like one guy had on the forum.

Also, anyone else notice the kickback/clunk on the brake pedal disappear when the regen started? I find that really annoying...

Never experienced the clunk in 2 years - doesn't sound right so perhaps have it checked.

Recuperation should be available much sooner than folk have quoted and typically < 750 miles (give or take).

The green bar appears whether overrun recuperation (activated via the switch on the steering wheel) or braking recuperation is at play - no distinction is made.

You should be pleased with your standard battery range - in UK we would not get much more than 180 miles. I see you have a UK flag so assuming this is a car running in UK.

If you have an ST then you will have the Performance Battery Plus (standard battery for a Taycan is the Performance Battery) and so you have the extended range battery. Therefore, 210 miles on a new car is reasonable but expect more when the ambient is up and more still when the battery has had more charging cycles.
