FWIW, I have a ClipperCreek system that splits my 50A circuit, and often charge at the same time as the other car. That means my car frequently charges overnight at 4.8 kW, and I haven't scrapped the car yet that I can recall.

So he has learnt about this, but our Taycan forum with thousands of members cars worldwide hasn't come across it.

I ONLY charge at 6.6KW on a L2 Charge point commercial charger. Not a single issue yet. We did charge on a DC charge one time to confirm it works.

When was the last time you checked your garage?

Anyways, I'll continue to charge with whatever my charger provides (which is probably less than 7.2kW) until Porsche tells me not to, in which case I'll ask them to pay for upgrading the line to my garage.

If true it will be a warranty issue, if not who cares, either way uninterested.

Had mine for 15 months now. 99% of the time charge at below 7kw, and most of the time just trickle charging from solar power at 1.4kw. Have had many probs with the Taycan, but this is not one of them...

I file this with the other disinformation flying around the net these days. Highly implausible and we have a lengthy battery warranty.
