Hi all
May be a stupid question but dont know where im going wrong.

  • I have a Project EV home wallbox
  • Taycan 2022 model
  • Set a home timer for 26/11/23 to get to 85% for 1030am
  • Plugged car in and light at port went to blue showing pause. Same on PCM screen
  • Awoke 26/11/23 and the car had thrown an error and stopped charging at 1258am as per the screenshot
  • This has happened previous. Generally i charge at work so this is new territory for me
  • Disabled the timer, Disconnected the cable, reattched and started charging immediately
I don't have any programs set on the project EV wallbox
Any help appreciated!

Are you 101% certain that you had no other active profiles or timers?

Odd especially if no programming on your EVSE either.

Earthing issue?
Hmm...dont think so because as soon as I disconnected and reconnected after disabling timer all worked

I would check your Wallbox if it goes to sleep or times out. I am not familiar with your particular type. I have Emporia EVSE. I set it to just provide power but it has so many power management settings that must be ensured to be totally off.

I only use a Timer as you have set and it starts Green, then Blue as expected to pause for overnight charging, then by the morning time set in the Timer, it is 85% as I set it, every time.

I have the car set on the home profile with max charge limit 85%
And a pre warm profile for when I leave
In terms of charging I use the timer on the app at first the car/connect app says error charging but at 00.30 the charger starts and stops and 85%

Sounds similar to my problem as you'll see from the screenshot.
Only seems to be when I'm on a timer as no issues when you simply plug in and charge the car...that works no issue

I turned all on and then off and the problem was solved. Just because the UI indicates nothing is on does not mean it is so.

I have never set up any programming on the EVSE…only the car. The EVSE is always available and the car pulls power when needed. Seems to work without issue.

I have charging faults sometimes (just on the passenger side port) and they aren’t setup related. Once it stops, I have to unplug and plug back in to get it to restart. It’s possible it just faulted and stopped and you did nothing wrong. Maybe try the other port once if you haven’t already.

I just had a factory EO engineer visit me today to resolve my charging issues with my wall box that was installed 3 weeks ago, sometimes it would charge, sometimes not.

turns out it was shipped with 9 default charging profiles which the installer should have disabled but didn’t! The wall box was switching on/off at will which was very confusing.

none of these default profiles were visible in the EO app either.
