LOL - it didn't fill me with much confidence I agree.
For now I have swapped out to the 32A one but yes if its pointless I will do my bit for the planet

Just realised there is a 1/2 way house for the seats by adding the Memory Pack to the 8 way seats

So - current build with changes as discussed above:
http://www.porsche-code.com/PN91F2V0

Main change:
In: Pano roof, Air Suspension, Power Steering Plus, Memory Pack (to 8 way seat), BOSE sound
Out: Performance Plus battery

Looking good - one final thing (and perhaps you realise) the standard black metal window surrounds are matt finish - gloss black would look so much better against the black paint (and no, I'm not on commission) @ £245.

One more thing - the headrests cannot be moved in height or length with the 8-way.

On the costings, a straight forward business lease works for me. I have a small business.
I moved from an F-Pace 2.0d to an ipace and have ordered a RWD Taycan.

F-pace (£44k list) £430 + VAT + £400 company car tax plus £300 diesel pm.

i-pace (£74k list) £700pm + VAT £20 company car tax + £80 electric pm.

Taycan (£77k list) £850 + VAT + £30 company car tax + £80 electric pm.

so as you can see, because of the limited tax liability and running costs, I have been and will continue to be better off driving £70-80k electric cars compared with more modest £40-45k ICE cars.

I’m not familiar with the whole buying a car thru a business thing as I’ve always leased and am quite happy with the “hand back after 3-4 years“ arrangement.

in terms of ptions:

Black Aero Wheels
Pano Roof
Electric charge port cover
Glass
Memory seats
Heated wheel
Rear + 1 seatbelt
Electric noise
Dual screen
Storage pack
All this took my to my max budget of £850pm.

Type of usage:

just me an my wife. Use the Ipace as my daily to and from office which, is a 25 mile round trip.
wife works mornings from same office and takes a-class diesel (private purchase).
we do not typically do long journeys. Done 2 Leeds to London in nearly 3 years. Took a class on 1 trip and ipace on other, charged 3 times.
Do leeds - Birmingham regularly and stay overnight so charge up in car park.
I have NEVER needed an extra 30 miles.

got a baby, Taycan and Evoque on the way ?.

Taycan RWD to replace iPace. Evoque to replace a-class. Baby to replace travelling round the world at the drop of a hat?.
So for the long, long runs we will take evoque (now also thru the biz as it’s a hybrid) and use Taycan the rest of the time apart from in bad weather. Seems the perfect combo for our situation.

so if you don’t do regular round (daily) trips of 250 miles, don’t bother with the £4K big battery. As some other ppl say, air suspension seems popular, storage package for sure (just for under the lower screen) panno roof and anything else you fancy.

Agree completely thank you.
That's exactly why (BiK) I didn't bother with things like NHS deals even though the monthly looked decent but nowhere the advantage of an electric car so quite excited to finally go down this road.

Spoke to the sales manager at the dealership near work too re the battery who also suggested I take it off the build as the return on it wouldn't come close to covering the cost (for something I don't need)

I did get some interesting info re Lease vs PCP for the business

"The accounting treatment to capitalise is based on whether the minimum future rentals (so all payments prior to final balloon) are significant enough to consider that the buyer has assumed the ‘risks and rewards associated with ownership’. So, as long as the final balloon payment is less than 50% of the car’s value on purchase, this is usually indicative that the buyer has passed this test and capital treatment will follow"
So I'll ask for a PCP quote too and see what GFV they offer

I am interested in what people have done here with regards business lease/pcp. My current car is leased via my limited company but was arranged via a leasing company. The same leasing company do offer Taycans and I have a quote from them. However I have also placed a deposit down with my local Porsche centre when I was thinking I would buy the car personally. Does anyone know if Porsche direct will entertain a business lease directly? And if so are they as competitive as going via a dedicated leasing car company? I plan on asking the sales guy tomorrow but thought since others are pursuing a similar route it would be nice to get some advice.

ps. From what I have seen via leasing companies it seems the 4S with performance plus battery is cheaper than without at the moment.

Yes Porsche offer business lease directly (contract hire) but I think they are more expensive than specialist providers.

Also heard with PBP is cheaper- I have nothing against having it but I don't need it and don't want to pay the premium in fees for having it (if you get what I mean)
So may ask for a quote with and without to compare
