The warning comes on consistently for me on two highway stretches that are perfectly straight for a surprisingly long distance in New England. It used to happen a couple times a month, but a lot more frequently recently. I can't figure out what caused the issue. I had it in all kinds of road conditions, but I can't duplicate it. My hand was always on the steering wheel during these events.
80% happened while driving on the freeway, it's not lack of attention, because I had light pressure on the steering wheel to keep the car in the middle of the road and apply power to maintain traffic speed. There was time one during lane changing on the freeway.
LKA will occasionally activate when there are no line markings on the road or when you drift out of your lane. Yes, there is a brief reduction in power, which is resolved when the steering is adjusted to place the car between the lines. This is not an issue, you should be able to turn it off in the PCM.I don't get anything on the dash other that a red warning message saying "Take over steering" - do you get this message?
