My 2023 Taycan is two months old with 2,000 miles. There is an intermittent "buzzing" noise emanating from somewhere beneath the consoles and can be heard 10 feet away from the exterior of the car. I've brought it to the dealer, but during the 5 minutes the tech had the car, no noise. This is in addition to my inability to get the charging timers to work (this even after following the timer instructions explicitly and the dealer "setting up" the timer and profiles. The car charges fine without using timers as a simple "plug in". There is also intermittent "blinking" of the passenger display screen that just has a mind of its own. I wonder if these issues are all inter-related having to do with some PCM/battery/software function.

Where do you go to fix these issues? The dealer just shrugs their shoulders and looks at their shoes.

You may be describing the fan clicking/buzzing from the lower center display. I have it as well, but only when cold. I made a video to show the dealer.
Others have had it as well.

thanks for the response

Has the dealer suggested a solution?
Any ideas about what’s going on?
Everyone who gets in the car asks, what’s that annoying noise.
It’s not only initially, it persists even with a warm car for an hour
100k+ car and it make’s annoying noises?

odd thing is I have two friends who took delivery of a CTS and 4S in early December 2022. Neither car has buzzing I hear. They’ve been in my car and have never heard the noises in theirs. This is a specific problem with only some cars

From what I’ve read, the fan is contacting something. A wire, perhaps. The solution is replacing the center module, I believe.
I haven’t had my appointment yet to get to a resolution but I agree it’s suboptimal.

I do not have this noise. I don’t think it’s ‘normal’. I’d force the dealer to find it and fix it. Leave the car with them for a couple days to drive if necessary.

Yep. Only when cold and interestingly colder = louder. Preheating helps or just driving for 5-10 minutes. Don’t want to rock the boat by having them take apart or replace center console. Car perfect otherwise.

Me? No, I don’t work for Koch. My wife does though.

Any idea what is making the noise?
It is intermittent. If I take the fan off "auto" and turn it down and it goes away. Warming the car up doesn't seem to make a difference for me.
Maybe I am OCD, but the noise drives me crazy, particularly in a $120k car.

No clue what’s making the noise but as other users have previously commented the theory is that it’s a fan hitting a wire. I agree it’s not awesome for a 6 figure car. However, I’m not sure if your issue is the same.

This is a common problem.
There is a service bulletin on it.
My car has all the retro-fit issues.

My dealer understood the problem. There is service bulletin on it.
It is a full day project. The noise drives me crazy on a 6 figure car.

I haven’t yet. Haven’t had a chance to take it in. Do you know the bulletin number? I’d love to provide it when I drop the car off.

Has anyone taken their car in to have this fixed? Did the dealer explain what was causing the noise?
My 2022 makes this loud buzzing noise occasionally. It seems unrelated to anything else. It can happen when parked, when driving, when cool, when hot. It actually seems to be louder outside the car. It happens about every other day.I am taking it in next month, hopefully it will make the sound when I get it to the dealer.

Is your car RWD?
There was a defective isolator in the frunk area that rattled and needed to be replaced -it is only on RWD models
Problem solved for me
