I understand your frustration. The underlying support for the Taycan product is not very good from the dealer network or the OEM. I too experienced a 30 day service visit for a very minor problem that could not be resolved by the dealer or the OEM. There are no words of advice here, just that you are not alone. There are others that have walked in your shoes. We all handled the issues differently, ultimately you have to decide how much you wish to endure before you ask for a permanent solution to buy back or lemon the car and move on. Good luck.

I replaced my 2022 Taycan RWD in September 2022 with a 2022 Taycan Turbo S. I haven't had any problems with either. I have almost 9000 miles on it and no problems. I drive about 100 miles a day commuting and am extremely happy.

Why does the dealer hold the car for a charging schedule issue? That’s taking the piss. The process is a little peculiar on the settings, but nothing is broken.
the ”buzzing” sound can be anything, one would need more context. further the car itself is working as expected? imho these 2 issues don’t define lemon?

I've installed a ChargePoint, recommended by the dealer- it was expensive $2600. including install. My charging timer doesn't work. Thinking of paying for the $1600 Porsche wall charger. Maybe it integrates better? I have no F'in idea. Disappointing there is no guidance from Porsche.

I talk to Porsche and they blame the Chargepoint - I talk to Charge Point and they blame the car.
1. Don't buy a Porsche-brand EVSE if you are in NA. See this post (and many others): https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/t...porsche-evse-pmc-pmcc-pwcc.13886/#post-208756
2. Many people on here advise letting the car's software control the charging process, not the wallbox/EVSE. If you are having charging problems, deactivate any timers/profiles in the Chargepoint EVSE and use the Taycan's profiles and timers. As Derek posted, setting up Taycan charging profiles and timers can be confusing. But attempting to control charging using settings in both the EVSE and the Taycan can cause problems.

I had a ChargePoint Home Flex that lasted almost a year. The WiFi module had intermittent failures before finally giving out completely. When I had the intermittent problems, the WiFi would go out causing the unit to go offline, which then prevented the car from charging. I had a support case open for almost a month before they finally sent out a replacement unit.

Sorry to hear about all the issues you are having...

I took ownership of my Taycan Base 12/23/22.
I've had numerous problems with the car since day One, none of which have been resolved. To date, the car has been in two Porsche dealers for service over 30 days of my 3-month ownership to resolve the issues - and so far nothing has been solved. This week they said they needed to keep the car another two weeks. They have NO IDEA how to fix the problems. I have established a case number with Porsche US, as well as filed a claim in the State of Maryland on lemon laws.

My local Porsche dealer I purchased the car from said the problems/issues with the Taycan's have markedly increased. I am scratching my head trying to understand why I paid $120k for a car that is laden with problems.

Is this an isolated incident, and I just have a bad production car? Kind of a shit show. I've had MB's, Audi's and RR's - but never experienced anything like this. I thought Porsche was the gold standard.

Has anyone experienced this, or am I an outlier?
If the dealership has "no idea" how to fix the problems, how would they come to number of needing to keep it two more weeks? btw, is it drive-able or do they insist on holding the car?

I misspoke
They said expect it to be here for 1-2 weeks while we figure out problem - buzzing noise

AC condenser needs replacement and ordered
Car is 3 months old, 1500 miles

Sorry about the grief, but it's good to hear that the cause of the buzzing noise has been identified.

Shit happens and I hope you can put this issue behind you and get into enjoying your Taycan. If you're like the rest of us you'll look for excuses to drive it every day. Best car I've ever owned.

Thank you. That's good advice.
Sounds like you've had a problem-free car.

My dealer told me the Taycan's seem to be having more and more problems with the newer cars. Doesn't quite make sense - should be the opposite.

Would that it were so! While I love my car I've had to deal with the early PCM hiccups, replace a poorly design PMCC EVSE product, puzzled over a few random warnings (e.g., parking assist not working), and of course a failed HV heater component. But overall I'm very satisfied and would do the whole thing over again.

Speaking realistically, the road to "Toyota Quality" in the EV world is bumpy, and I see it staying that way for the next 5 years or so. Today's EV's have powertrains that are first or second generation designs. On top of that an EV is heavily dependent on computers, sensors, and software, and the infrastructure for that at Porsche and other firms is being developed in parallel with new EV models.

So I don't expect perfection at this point. However, what I love about the Taycan 4s I own is that even with some ups and downs, it is more fun to drive than any other car I've owned (going all the way back to my first car - a Triumph TR250 in the 60's), and I know that Porsche will be around and fix the problems. I can't say that about some of the other EV companies out there.

Once you get past the initial issues I think you will love this car.

I have had no issues with the charger that comes with the car, in fact I was planning to buy a third party charger and only use the Porsche charger, as I had it, for the first few days...however, it works perfectly and I will keep using it!
Have you used it in a summer heat yet?

[/QUOTEno, not yet. however, it is still working perfectly. Happy to update my thoughts once summer heat arrives; in the meantime, enjoying not having to buy a third party charger and using the one Porsche provided with the car.

If you are charging at 40A, just make sure that your NEMA 14-50 is industrial grade, and that your wiring is solid, then your worst case scenario is the charge interrupted overnight.
