Flawless work. How much did that run you if you don’t mind my asking…? I’m assuming they had to paint the whole rear door?

They had to paint the whole door and actually a good bit of the rear too to blend it all in. It is flawless. They admitted it would have been easier and maybe cheaper to replace the door - but those parts are very difficult to get at the time it happened.

Porsche Centre Dublin covered it as a good-will gesture – though it was 100% my fault – because of some of the issues I've had with my 22kW charger.

Your Taycan looks very cool and like the future in that company.

If I owned one of those, I would stop and look at your Taycan, then look back at my own car and it would get me thinking......one of those thoughts that takes hold and you can't get out of your head till its sorted out......

Keep mine on a South East London street. Haven't used it since the 15th of July. ? Dropped from 97% to 95% to date.

Living in the capital means a lot of people can have an extra bedroom or a garage!

What humours me is the sheer space that the USA has vs the UK.

The UK has an obscene population density pretty much everywhere.

That means much smaller property footprint - where the average property size is more than 50% smaller than that in the USA (730sqf vs 1600sqf).

Trying to park your car, even one much smaller than the Taycan, is more of a logistical headache. If your property has a garage in the UK, it is a single and often based on dimensions of the typical car from decades ago... Which were much smaller.

I actually don't know my living arrangements by the time I get my Taycan next year, but garage or driveway, either are good options... It's just most properties with a garage in the UK are completely unsuitable for a car the size of a Taycan owing to their, on average, tiny footprint.

Stark difference when you’re originally from a “new world” country like Australia or US where big-ish garages are commonplace. In the shires of the UK is one thing but London where a garage is (a) like gold dust and (b) generously sized…for a Morris Minor ?
