WSJ8 campaign - software update

Anyone else installed the WSJ8 software update yet? Saw it wanted 40 mins or so to do it, so will charge the car tonight and do in the morning.

Wondering if there were any noticeable changes?
Reads as if though just updates to online services.

had a ping in the car (MY24) and then a day or so later via the app... can't say I've had any issues with nav on mine, but will see what this does!

coming up to 2 years or pretty issue free driving with the car, given all the well publicised issues, fingers crossed I've avoided them all so far! first service next month and lease up in a year.. time to start thinking about the replacement

Are those actual release notes? Are they really going to start giving us information about what these updates do or fix???

I've seen it happen for UK owners before. Haven't see it in other regions.
So wouldn't put my hopes up.

update installed which then led to lots of the built-in apps (news, calendar, weather. music etc) having an update available... can't say I use any of them apart from music!

no obvious updates to the navigation.

But honestly, I hope this finally solves the navigation issues. Hope to see the update soon on my MY23. Anyone else besides OP got the update including the release notes through the app?

I wonder if this will apply to those in PCM 3882 as well. It won’t be the update to 3885, but I hope any fixes will also be applied to those on the older PCM. I couldn’t get my OPC to update mine to 3885.

Why would the OPC not update the PCM to 3885? I have been advised by Smartmobility to bring my car to OPC for an update to 3885. I have many issues with the navigation at the moment and they can not solve it otherwise.

They simply told me that unless they can 'see' (or otherwise confirm) specific issues fixed by the 3885 upgrade, then they won't have authorisation to perform the upgrade. I explained I have frequest CarPlay dropouts, but that wasnt enough to satisfy them. Wasnt best pleased.

PCM update 3885, per the service bulletin, is to be installed only if customer complains about PCM issues and they can be reproduced.
Porsche doesn’t want to pay a cent more than needed of service time

In the list of apps I don't see navigation, is it because of scrolling or no updates for the navigation app?

There were further on the list but navigation wasn’t there.
