Preparing for holidays and put on my roofrack and box for the first time.

Installing the wingbars isn’t difficult but it takes a bit of time. To be sure they are in correct position I put them at the level of the little holes and measured the distance from the front end of the rails to be sure they are symmetrical. The back one is a bit lower than the front one. Approximately 2 cm diffenrce in height to get it leveled.

Installing the box is easy.

The front side is wider than the back en thus follows the shape of the roofbars and roof. The claws are close to the roof about a finger / 2 cm.

Easy to acces because the Taycan is much lower than the X5 I had before.

The metallic black of the Vector box looks good with the other of the black accents in the car.

Driving: driving dynamics are not different at the speeds I usually drive.

Wind noise: at 110 km/h discrete. At 125-130 km/h present but not annoying. Less than when I put it on our Mazda.

I have added economy of a 60 km trip I did today. 125 km/h on cruise controle. 20 inch wheels 30 degrees Celsius only me no passengers. The two trips before that where yeseterday with my family but nothing on the roof. First was a large part 105 km/h second 130 km/h. Like mentioned before by others, probably around 10-15% less range with this combination.

It is much darker in the car. Duh. Might be of benifit in Italy in hot weather.

That looks really good. Surprisingly so. 10-15% doesn't seem too high a price to pay for the practicality and if the noise is bearable, win-win. Thanks for posting! Still waiting for Thule USA to update their fitment guide.

Looks great! Do you know which width is correct for the wing bars?

This is the set that fits the Taycan. It consist in a M (rear) and L (front) bar. They are spring loaded and can adapt to the length when thightning the rubber coated metal straps.

That is why I went for the Vector M. It is small and aerodynamic. I will report back after the trip.

It is only 30 cm high and can fit ski’s up to 1m85 I think. In the past I had 2m10 ski’s fortunately now they are shorter and I have 1m82

I have 4 Thule duffelbags and they fit fine. I need the space for my trip and it does reduce the range and it makes some noise but not to bad.

Slip streaming behind an SUV is also a good way to reduce noise a probalbly also increasing range.

thanks for that. The U.S.Thule site doesn’t list this as available for the Taycan, which left me guessing on the correct size.

The ones I have are 2021. They have changed name and the design a bit in Europe too.

Looks great and nice to good pics of a Dolomite CT with those wheels. Mine is due end of November. Haven't decided on painting arches yet. Do you have photos of yours before you changed them?
