So I found out today that I don't need to click to remove the "sorry you don't have your car" message on TYD b/c I can still see "Port Processing" behind the image, saving time. That's all the good news I have for today.

Seriously this is getting ridiculous. I wonder how many of us had to change plans based on the expected/projected delivery of our vehicle. Certainly someone out there has an ETA for the missing tire pressure monitors or whatever is needed. Can someone beat up on their SA and share with the rest of us the disposition of missing parts? My SA is already giving me a discount off his commission so he doesn't feel motivated to raise hell over this. I'm frustrated!

Spoke with my SA and he says there are no missing parts on my car, and there never were any missing parts or quality issues on my car. Some have those issues and some don't, according to him, but they are all delayed regardless.

No one can give me an explanation for the weeks sitting at port.

Per my SA this morning, "I have no idea why the car is being held up."

Very reassuring.

A friend I met on this site decided to go with an Audi, he said they are offering the $7500 tax credit today on leasing deals.
I received this update late yesterday from my S/A-“we are still waiting no news”. That made me feel much better. Well the 14th is this Friday. I think most of us have TYD showing delivery on the 14th. It would be ironic if TYD was finally accurate. I looked at my original planned delivery date back in July and it was Jan 7th. So if I received my car next Friday that would only be a week behind. However, I’m not optimistic. Not to Jinx anything but my last Porsche sat at the Docks for three months in 2019. However that was an EPA issue.

One interesting thing my SA told me is that most of the dealership’s cars are arriving far earlier than TYD estimates, many of them a month or more before they were expected. For whatever reason, our cars have fallen into the “unlucky” batch. Also not reassuring.

Just received from the dealership. This is really trying my patience. Has anybody else been told this?

We are not accepting any 3rd party financing at this time. We are only working with PFS at 2.99% APR or cash, or wired funds directly for you. This a dealership policy that comes from the top and is driven by several factors in this current market situation.

wow. that's a little drastic.

I can't imagine they'll have many happy customers with this policy.

Maybe I should I contact my dealership as well, just in case I'm not scrambling for funds at the last minute.

did financing last week of December and dealership didn’t care about financing source. They offered PFS but I used BofA.

or use them and refinance?

That is super sleazy. I've never heard of a policy like that before, ever. If I were you, I would put on my best "Karen" wig and ask to speak to the manager (seriously).

You ordered from Walter's Riverside, right? That is the dealership where I normally go to get my Porsches serviced, but I didn't order the Taycan from them because the salesman I spoke with (a John something) seemed like a total [blank].

yep that dealership. The delta between the financing I lined up and their offer is almost $1600 across a 60-month term. And I don't quite get the "factors in this current market" that have to do with anything. We are paying sticker price and I expect most buyers of this car have exceptional credit.
