If you don't have LTE and don't have Apple CarPlay (which is not dependent on the LTE connection) – then its very likely to be the communications box that is faulty. Its a known issue on MIB3-based cars like the Taycan.

This sounds like exactly what my problem is. Did you have a bad communications box as well? If so, was it easily fixed at the dealership or did it take time for them to get the part and fix it?

This sounds like exactly what my problem is. Did you have a bad communications box as well? If so, was it easily fixed at the dealership or did it take time for them to get the part and fix it?
Amazingly for me – things just started to work a few months ago – and I've had no reoccurrence of the issue since then. Why this is, I have no clue.

After letting Porsche know the Porsche Server cannot connect to the Taycan, their team asked me to download the MyPorsche app. I’m not sure how using a different app will solve the problem ?

I build software for a living, so this “solution” is hilarious, as neither the Connect app, nor the MyPorsche web portal can display car information, as the sever cannot connect to the car.

At this point you shouldn't be using the legacy app.

Also here in Switzerland. No remote access since July 5 (last geo localisation). Did not try anything at all, gave up fighting their legacy software :). screw "native" Apple Music (I'll use my iPhone) and pre-cool. Took me less time (2,5h) to drive to Zuffenhausen park on their sidewalk and bow in protest.

Brought it in for service today at the dealer in Swiss headquarters (they had 20 or so Taycan around), maybe they can fix it...

Just stop the app manually.
I already made a ticket a while ago for that and now it seems fine.
The app kept active when I had a hotspot enabled but now that is fixed too.

Lost connection on the 1st July, after a week the connection was back, cured itself.
As far as I have understand the issue was another migration but not all accounts went through.
Should be fixed now.

Still not fixed here in Norway, at least not for me (MY2020). No connection since 03/07. I'm still on the old Porsche Connect app as I cannot be bothered with trying the lowly rated My Porsche app. Problem must be on the server side anyways.

Mine's fubar'd too (even after the dealer did unrelated work on the car yesterday).

Luckily I have no dependency on this piss poor app / background infrastructure - useless at best.

Here's what worked for me just now.
Log out of the account from the PCM. Leave the car in good spots for LTE connection. Tried 2-3 times (several times a day) to log back in with my user. Most of the times I got the dreary "this operation is not possible at the moment. Try again later". Every time I closed the car, walked away and waited for 30mins-2h.
Now it just worked.

I actually miss one single feature, whether from Connect app or the useless MyPorsche app. And that is the facility to turn on pre cooling. It is around 35 degrees here with ghe sun blazing down, so the car with black seats gets very warm. If you are shopping and perhaps have lunch, it would such a great feature to just turn on pre cooling. But no chance with the absolutely useless Porsche SW.

I think it would be time to send some nicely worded letters to Porsche AG and Blume. They are so high up on their horses at the moment without acknowledging any SW problems nor any communications about remedies. The latest rumour about some SW update on 13 th July was one example.

Yes I have switched users in the car, logged out of the service and tried to log back in. I have done the two finger reset, I have done the 12 volt reset, I have logged out of app and back in. I have switched between apps and website etc. So far nothing has helped. I actually had it working better than ever during trips in June, but now stone dead.

It's just ridiculous you have to follow some sort of secret procedure to get actual connection to the car.
Although I don't have a problem myself anymore I just think it doesn't work like it should, no matter what trick you are using to dodge this problem.
After two and a half years it still doesn't work flawlessly and that's a fucking shame for such a premium car.

I know. It's embarrassing to fail even on basic online/remote services (and on a lot of other components, admittedly, like charging ports, controllers, tc). I was just explaining how it came back online for me. But they are selling well and most people are not switching to other brands
