Is there a huge batch of cars without batteries but more recently produced cars are getting batteries? I assume there hasn't been a complete delivery stoppage since July?

I read elsewhere there are about 800 cars in storage with no battery, mine was finished at the end of July and is amongst them.
There was a complete delivery stoppage for a long time.

Cars being produced now seem to have the 12V battery fitted and being delivered apart from those being held back for lack of Bose or Burmester electronic boxes.

I do wonder if the impending lack of Bose is what pushed my production dates to slip by 5 weeks. Who knows.

Could be, I dropped Bose to reduce delay (but the car took 14 weeks from stage 3 to 4 anyway). I spoke to somebody who’s wife’s Macan was held due to no Bose electronic box.

You’re still going to take delivery with no bose? You must not be into using the stereo that much. That’s a deal breaker for me.

I am a music lover and decided decades ago that a car was a hopeless environment for listening to the music I like after much (failed) experimentation so I mainly have the radio off or listen to speech channels.

There is one radio channel where the dynamic range is compressed for car listening which is not too bad (it sounds absolutely dreadful at home on a good system though).

Fair statement. I know Bose isn’t the best system in the world but music is an integral part of the driving experience for me so I need that at least. However I can appreciate the other side of the coin.
