Hi everyone just trying to figure out if there’s actually a difference between the 2020, 2021, 2022 etc as for range. I know if it was a big update about a year ago that increase the range, but has there been hardware changes between the years?

Is there an easy conversion between what Tesla uses for consumption and what the Taycan uses? For example my MS gets 404km of rated range with an 85KWh battery at 192Wh/Km which is what it reads on the dash.
How does the Taycan compare?

Photos of range depicted on Taycan center console and app right after charging to 100% are really popular. If only that range estimate lasted once the car is driven off the driveway.

I find it quite precise when motorway trips are not included. I have managed 260/270 miles the last 3 months with 10/20 miles left to 0%. The minute you hit the motorway the range goes down quickly to 190/200 miles.
short Commuting is also not the best for range. Hower recently queuing for long at 20mph , and in theory range would be over 500 miles. Thinking of moving to Wales.

No discernible difference in my experience between MY21 and MY23 - same tech so no surprise really

According to my detailed in-person conversation with a high level Porsche battery technician, there has been no hardware changes to the Taycan battery or chemistry, and we won't see any in the current models for 5-10 years. Of course there will be software changes that might optimize range. This statement doesn't include of course, any new versions of the Taycan that people are talking about with three motors or 1000+ HP.

When i was "fantasizing" about driving 95mph through isolated montana highways, i "fantasized" about a 160mi range at 100% lol.
That's probably about right. I did some fun cruising through desolate highways with 80mph speed limit in both Tesla Model S and Taycan, and it is amazing how quickly you go through electrons as you start approaching 3 digit speeds. The extra painful wait to get past 95% SoC at the chargers is still worth the fun. I very fondly remember a trip across the USA this past February in my Taycan (which happened to be my 3,500 mile trip home from the dealer where I picked it up).

I wish we had unrestricted Autobahns in the US (and the proper road discipline of people moving over for faster traffic) It would make road tripping so much more fun. Even going 90+ on some of the long highways can get boring (a straight highway as far as the eye can see, and limit only 80mph). I imagine 160mph would be more exciting.

Winter, climbing elevation, or zipping along at 90mph?
None of those ☹. ~67ish average mph, some elevation, and a roof box. But otherwise driven as sensibly as I could muster.
