New facia is sexy in every angle, but we say we don’t like it because we spent 100K+ on the old facia. I actually like both equally. My wife (and probably everyone without a car fetish) probably will not notice the difference, as she thinks every Panamera is a Taycan

I’d say it’s a hair above mediocre, but definitely not bland as a lot of people are making it out to be. And I don’t see the Tesla resemblance at all. I think people are going mostly off of 2-D imagery, which doesn’t accurately capture these cars unless you know what you’re doing. The new fascia isn’t necessarily something to write home about, but it gets the job done. It’s practical, and differentiates from the turbo models now. Although I don’t know why they just didn’t do that from the beginning.

I agree the Mission E facia had a more sculpted design that set it apart. The new headlamp casing does look rather redundant; I have a feeling the engineers had to do it that way to accommodate the new Xenon system, which probably would’ve been too complex/expensive to work into the prior Taycan lamps.

Although rumor has it the 27/28 next gen will have exposed lamps again.

Stop pls. We don't like anything that weakens the theory what we currently own is better.

(but man, that angle looks sensational af)
Let’s get the same angle on gen 1s please. It’s the sculpted rear quarter panel that we all love about Porsches saving the front fascia.

Great shot. I don’t mind the headlights, I am still trying to love the less rounded quarter panels …

There isn’t anything specifically objectionable about it in my view. That shot looks like it could have been created by AI….which for me, is why it doesn’t have as much appeal. I want passion in the design of my vehicles not just technical competence.

Most midlife cars have pretty much just been technically competent. It’s a revising of things, a tightening up. Before another generation arrives. Although who knows, with a 50% reduction in sales, they might not even do a traditional second generation.
