so, 4 months later, has noone managed to get any confirmation or anything more than a vague rumour about this coming to "gen1" taycans? given the systems are the same hardware and there has been precious little updates since the original release, its objectively rude to not give any further updates.

Well in a Taycan Benelux facebook group several gen1 drivers have received a letter from Porsche this week calling them to perform an update on the software. No details yet.

I have the ‘online software updates’ tab in the app for my J1 taycan too.

Remember that a lot of the settings now appearing in the app where available on the My Porsche website. This migration was completed recently so some of the features (e.g. OTA Updates) aren't new, just relocated as none of the feature set exists on the website which was there from launch until the migration started last year. I wouldn't get too excited about anything significant happening on J1.1 in particular.

Well in a Taycan Benelux facebook group several gen1 drivers have received a letter from Porsche this week calling them to perform an update on the software. No details yet.

I wish we have more details. Is that simply battery-related updates or actual feature updates? I guess I'll have to go for a drive and remember why I love this damn car so much!

When I got in the car tonight, there was the tone like when we get a map update, but it said (going from memory) over the air update. I told the car to read it out and it had a very specific set of instructions (car in park, turn off pre climate, start update, get out of the car and lock) and said it would take 30+ minutes. I did not do it as I did not have time to address it. 2021 Taycan RWD here,.

I’m in the US; wondering if it only applies if you have the chrono package? Anyone with a 2025 Taycan in the US can confirm whether they got it?

I have this too, from the beginning, you can enable satellite view on the cluster too.
