The answer is indeed opening the window, with the keyfob.
Apparently, when you press and hold the unlock button, all 4 windows open
Once they are fully open, I reached through the open window to open the door using the handle from the outside.

Finally, I’m out! Thank you for the answer, but my family is upset that I’ve rejoined them

We may not have stroopwafels and kroket in the US, but our Taycans do have a trunk escape button; particularly handy in mob-ridden New Jersey.

I’m confused. If you had the key fob couldn’t you could unlock all doors by pressing unlock twice? (I have mine configured to unlock all doors on first press)

Long story short: in EU, "child lock" means you can lock your kids in the trunk.
