Im writing to every single Taycan owner who paid between 60.000 … 100.000 … …..€130,000 and €230,000 …..for what we were told was the future of Porsche.

We were lied to.

The Facts:
1. Porsche is discontinuing the entire Taycan line by 2030. Not just the sedan — the Cross Turismo, the Sport Turismo, everything. The only full-electric Porsche will be erased from production.

2. We were sold prototypes disguised as finished products. The 22 kW OBC charger is a known factory defect across Europe. The electric fan fails. The 12V battery needs factory re-programming (Campaign WS6). These are not isolated incidents — they are systematic failures that Porsche quietly "extended warranties" for, admitting guilt without admitting fault.

3. Depreciation is catastrophic. The Taycan loses over 60% of its value in 5 years — worse than mass-market brands. For a Porsche, this is unheard of. The 911 loses 15%. We were sold a "luxury Porsche" that depreciates like a disposable appliance.

4. Now Porsche abandons us. After taking our money, after selling us defective cars, after watching us absorb the depreciation, they announce the model is dead. No compensation. No extended support program. No loyalty gesture for the early adopters who believed in their first EV.
This is unacceptable.

Porsche built its reputation on three pillars: mechanical reliability, customer respect, and strong residual values. With the Taycan, they destroyed all three.

• Reliability? Recalls, OBC failures, fan failures, software bugs.

• Customer respect? Service advisors who lie about warranties, send us away, and pretend we have no rights.

• Residual value? 60% gone in 5 years, and now the model is officially discontinued.
What we demand:

• A formal Porsche AG compensation program for all Taycan owners who purchased vehicles with known factory defects.

• A written commitment that parts, software updates, and battery support will continue for a minimum of 15 years after 2030.
• Transparent communication about why the Taycan is being killed and what happens to existing owners.

• An extended Porsche Approved warranty at no cost for all affected owners, as compensation for selling us a prototype.
To Porsche AG: You wanted early adopters for your first EV. You got us. Now you are abandoning us. This is not how Porsche treats customers. This is not how a luxury brand behaves.

To fellow owners: If you are reading this and you feel betrayed, speak up. Post your story. Document your defects. Share your depreciation numbers. The only way Porsche listens is when the world sees the truth.

The only full-electric Porsche will be erased from production.
The SUVs (Macan and Cayenne) are fully electric as will the now confirmed and soon to appear on the configurator 718 EV.

Why should I care if the Taycan is eventually discontinued?
Even my CT variant is no longer available in my home market, and that doesn't affect me at all.

This is much ado about nothing, IMO. Car companies cancel vehicles all the time. The fact that Porsche has SUVs and 911s to sell means they can have a bust every now and then. The Taycan fell victim to “too expensive” and “not enough demand”. That’s how the cookie crumbles. As far as reliability, sure, I’ve had a few issues including a battery failure. But it’s under warranty - the battery for 8 years even. Is mine less reliable than my previous car or the one before that? No. It’s a Porsche and I love driving it. All the rest is blathering…. Sorry, but I strongly disagree with the OP.

If the accusations were part of a court case, I would not be expecting to win on any count.

I had many problems why my Taycan, but I took it on the chin, sold up and walked away from the car and the brand.

Its how car ownership goes sometime.

The guarantees were all that counted really.
I think the only one that could/should realistically be pursued is classing the battery manufacturing faults as normal wear and tear/ageing.

Absolutely, this can be won in a European court.
It would however need coordinated action between owners (most European countries don't have the great US "class action" legal tool)

On my second Taycan and no trouble at all, they can’t be the only two faultless taycan produced.
I usually on the opposite spectrum of good luck with cars :)
Depreciation, I found the resale value of my taycan
In line with other Luxury brand for similar products. It didn’t stop me buying the second taycan.
Not sure I am buying another one next year. There is nothing Porsche is doing to update the Taycan. Macan and Cayenne Ev… no thanks
Not interested in super techy Chinese EV with screens and super fast infotainment.

Not saying that I disagree with the points…. but would any of us (really*) want to drive any other EV model instead?

The Taycan was the best EV of its time, great looking, practical and still a drivers car despite being so heavy (as every EV is).

Are there better EVs available today? Of course, yes.
Were there really better EVs (to drive) when the Taycan had its peak years; I don’t think so.

As of today - Are there cars with better software, better reliability, more faster, cheaper, yes…
However, I still cannot find (at least in the UK) another EV car that delivers the whole car experience (looks, driving, comfort, prestige, etc…) better than a Taycan.

I loved every moment of my driving experience with Taycan while I had it - its now been swapped for a 911.

I just bought a 911 to get away from the glitchy software. Seriously, I prayed every time I walked to the car that it would run. Too high tech for Porsche
