To the OP:

The question to ask is not the size of the battery, but rather the mission you intend for your vehicle and where and how you intend to use the vehicle. If road tripping is in your mission profile, perhaps an EV is not quite up to the task at this time.
For example, I have a few vehicles so road tripping never entered into my decision tree. I simply don't road trip the Taycan - I can't be bothered with the whole public charging BS and time wasted.
Agree 110%! - For example, I have a few vehicles so road tripping never entered into my decision tree. I simply don't road trip the Taycan - I can't be bothered with the whole public charging BS and time wasted.

Like others have said, it just depends on what you're gonna do with it. I have a rwd with the standard battery and get 280+ miles on a full charge, and I plug it in maybe once per week. I do long road trips in my Jeep and haven't ever considered road tripping with the Taycan (or the Tesla I used to own), I just prefer road tripping with a gas car that goes 500 miles on a tank, and most of the time if I'm taking a long road trip somewhere I like the extra space regardless.

If I could get a 4s for the same price, I would've done that because it would be nice to have the extra speed, but if I was going to be doing longer road trips I would've prioritized the bigger battery which I believe also fast charges quicker.
