Hi!

I wonder if you can comment on what the indicated range is when you have charged to 100%, and which battery type you have.

Mine shows 440 kms, and I have the Performance Battery Plus. I expected a little more range than that.

Cheers!

That is about 274 miles at 100% SoC, which is not that bad, depending on the wheels you have. What is the ambient temperature in your part of Norway these days? Also, how many km/mi do you already have on your car as the first 500 miles or so there is no regeneration to allow for bedding the brakes. Range tends to increase after regeneration kicks in.

That's about correct. You can cheat, like a lot of the 500km+ screenshots on here are, by turning the AC completely off. After a few seconds you'll get an additional 40 - 60km shown.

I have 20“ wheels, and the ambient temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius.

What is your indicated range on 100% SoC, and which battery do you have?

How fast are you driving?

The biggest determinants of range are temperature and speed.

Take the indicated range with a grain of salt.

At 20C at 115 kph you can expect to travel 440 km, give or take with the P+ battery in range mode.

2020 4S with 19" Aero wheels, Performance Plus battery and about 2200 miles on the counter. Recently my best projected range (markedly more than when I first got it):

This is in line with what TeslaBjørn got when he test drove one with those exact same specification (he drove 579km/359 miles).

Mine shows about 450 with 20", 20 - 25c. I live up a steep hill though and mostly do short drives so my average consumption is quite high so I don't except it to show a high number until I've taken it on a long road trip.

I have switched my individual over to be based on Sports+ for the increased volume of the electric sports sound, though. No point in driving in range mode unless I'm going far. :p

I typically drive in Normal, sometimes in Sport and only for (rare) longer trips in Range. 20" wheels (unlike 21" wheels) should not be a lot worse than 19" wheels range-wise. Short trips are indeed less efficient because the battery does not have a chance to reach its ideal operating temperature.

Bjorn's 360 mile range was achieved under his low speed test at 56 mph. For his high speed test at 74.5 mph he got 264 miles.

Irrelevant speed to me, and most of the world.

Maybe a better indication of the range we can achieve on average is looking at trip-control on my porsche webpage?

For my MY2020 Turbo it shows:
  • Rijtijd
    266:13h
  • Elektrisch gereden afstand
    12793km
  • Ø Snelheid
    49km/h
  • Ø Elektrisch verbruik
    22.2kWh/100 km

So for me it would be 83.7kWh / 22.2kWh * 100km = 377 km/234 mile.

The highest kWh/100km and lowest kWh/100km for a trip of at least 50 km/31 mile are 30.3kWh/100km and 20.7kWh/100km, which computes to 276 km/171 mile and 404 km/251 mile.

My 4S with a 93.4 kWh battery shows the same 440 km range. And I believe it is rather accurate. This is based on a real life test on a 320 km motorway trip cruising at 130 km/h. Outside temp 21 ºC, AC on ECO. In these conditions I got a consumption of 21.4 kWh/ 100 km.
Moreover the accuracy of the estimated battery on arrival was impressive during the whole trip.
I suppose that cruising at 110 km/h would give a longer range, but it is too boring to try.
Cheers.

I’ve driven my 4s for about 6000km in 2 months of ownership and what impressed me more is its hight efficiency in the motorway compared with city or twisted rads. While driving In slow roads (usually SPORT or SPORT +) I get around 30 kWh/100km, the you switch to Flanders mode (range) in the motorway cruising between 110-130 km/h an numbers go down to 19 kW. This is consistent with its guessometer of 450km. I guess it’s achieved thanks to its great coefficient + smart settings when in range mode.
temperature here ( Canary Islands) is almost all the time between 20-30C.

Ideal conditions, 3 bar pumped up tires, flat terrain, mostly city and city highway.

Your range might still go up. I got this after 8 month. and 10k km driven...
