Hello Luke

just a quick question. On the taycan 4S whether it be US model or Uk model. Can we actually change the speedometer reading (the actual speed) from miles to km and km to miles or only the tripand consumption data can be changed ?
Yes! It should be changeable in the settings on every Taycan regardless of origin.

Hi Luke,
I've had my turbo for 3 months and love it with one exception, the Satellite reception. When in areas with trees and the like the satellite looses reception in places where all my other cars are fine. They do have a whale tail antenna which of course the Taycan doesn't. Have you heard of any modification, solution for this? I know by the forums I'm not alone. Thanks for your time. Marc

I have a late November build and was told that PSCB are showing error code when my dealer is trying to lock my build. I will know in a day or two if I can get my mission wheels and PSCB. I can live without the PSCB but no mission and the $9000 brakes is a deal breaker. Luke what do you know about this error?

I know it’s a bit of a worry as by far my favourite wheels and it’s not even close.

Could not justify further upgrading the brakes.

Think I would end up with the Taycan 21inch and painted black as a back up, but would need to see them.

Probably just a parts supply issue creating production line run delays.

Temporary halt. Copper was banned from being used in brake pads. EPA issue.
My build just got pushed from November build until January build because PSCB brakes are on a stop order thru December. I wasn't told why but the first orders with PSCB brakes aren't allowed until January 2021 builds. Luke are you getting this issue on your November/December builds with PSCB?

Anyone else running into this as it will be the difference between getting a Mission E wheel or not for builds in November and December. I believe this is a world wide issue.

"... Beyond that though, I think with the Taycan only needing to be serviced every 2 Years/20,000 miles Porsche will be relying on the larger software updates needing to be installed at the dealership. .."

Luke -- I will be a new owner of a 4s in January. However, we live a five-hour round trip from the dealer. That makes mandatory in-house software updates a serious obstacle for us. There should be an option for over-the-air updates for those who qualify as being very far away (see: Tesla). Can anything be done about this?

Luke: do dealers know about changes to vehicle lock and production dates? My build was originally supposed to be locked on 11/20 and in production 11/27 but for some reason it was advanced to 11/6. My sales associates claims there’s no way to know that this happens but that strikes me as suspect. Why would porsche have a lock and production date if it is subject to changes? And why wouldn’t the sales associate or dealer be notified?

After four bespoke Porsche’ in the last eight years, nothing has changed. Local dealers do not know an early lock date until it is too late to change anything. Have learned to make sure of our options two weeks in advance of the estimated lock date.
