I have only a little under 3k miles on my new-to-me 2022 4CT, with only a relatively small portion of that at night.
But the auto high beam feature sure seems to work flawlessly.
So I'm surprised by the dislike here of its implementation.

Only drawback I've noticed is that a few times I would have preferred the high beams to come on at slower speeds.
I can't remember if my other vehicles with the feature have also been speed-dependent
(But two have also been VAG: 2019 VW Arteon and 2022 A6 Allroad. The other is BMW i4.)

I agree - it's no where near as good as other cars. I often look like a complete tool because people think I'm flashing them.
Super annoying!

In the US it is 40 MPH for them to engage. You can then go slower and they will continue to activate and disactivate at least for some period of time.

Leaving my neighborhood, there is a road with no street lights with a speed limit of 30 MPH. You really don't want to do more than 35MPH, narrow road, wildlife, sometimes branches from fallen trees. What I do is briefly hit 40MPH, auto beam engages then I can go back down to 30-35 and they continue to work. That stretch of road is about 2 miles. It works for the duration of that stretch. After that I may be going faster but I THINK at some point it resets and you again need to go above 40MPH before auto beam re-engages, I don't know if that is really true or what the threshold is.

I'm also annoyed by that minimum speed for auto high beam to activate. But they are fortunately easy to switch between auto and manual high beam, and maybe some have not found this out: press the stalk forward. If it's auto it switches to manual high; if it's manual high it switches to auto. At least in my car. So the irritation is a bit less prominent than it was..

I don't use it enough to remember and keep fiddling with the stalk. Your explanation is a lot easier to follow than the owners manual:
(The complexity is that if you have auto high off, and you want to turn on high beam manually, you have to press the stalk forward twice - the first push only turns on auto but does not turn on high beams.)

In Europe, driving with high beams in the local area (50kmh) is not allowed. That's why it only switches on when you drive faster than 60kmh.

It is not nearly as effective as my Mercedes. The electronics in Porsche’s is not nearly as good as BMW or Mercedes.

Porsche’s implementation of this feature is terrible in an otherwise terrific car. My Lexus, BMW and Corvette all have this feature and it works seamlessly. I’m sure all of you have other cars with the same success.
Taycan is hit or miss and when it doesn’t work I have to press the bright light switch twice or turn off the auto dimming.
very annoying.
Odd mine works perfectly and better implementation than than my wife's Macan T

What year is your C7? My 2016 3LT doesn't have auto-high beams.

When using the Auto High Beam setting, the car seems to not turn the high beams on at appropriate times (when completely dark and no other cars around). Has anyone else experienced this same problem? Does anyone have any advice on what can be done to make the high beams more prominent?
The high beams on my CT4S seem to have a will of their own. Sometimes they come on almost as soon as I leave my drive, at around 20mph; sometimes only at >60mph; and sometimes as I'm actually slowing down into an area with streetlights... Complete mystery and quite frustrating.

I agree, on an Audi I had it was excellent, but the software that turns it on and off, at least on my version doesnt work for me, I need it to turn on below 40mph, also it sometimes goes haywire, with street lamps. Anyway, I ended up just turning the feature off. Easier for me to just manually do it.
