Hi guys,
I have a CT4 on order (production july if everything goes well) but I can't figure out my colour scheme.
At the moment I have Crayon combined with Slate Grey standard-interior, also combined with Gloss Black 21 inch CT Design wheels.
But I more like coloured interiors, so the red one would be my favourite.
But since I already depassed my budget I won't add another extra 4400euro to it.
So I thought of changing exterior colour to the 'free' white colour and then get the red leather.
Also because I think the upgrade to full leather makes the interior much more classy.
Testcar was also full leather, so I haven't seen a standard interior in detail.
But I'm not sure about the 'free white' as well, never seen it. All I've seen are always carrara-white cars.

So my question is : anybody here who has good pics of a 'standard white' CT ?
And second one : aside of the colour, is the upgrade to full leather necessary ? Does the standard interior look 'plastic' or is it nice anyway ?

Thanks !

I’ve got the standard interior in black. Very happy with it, easier to clean than the full leather. Slate grey is a bit…..bland though in real life.

I went to the dealer to directly compare the standard interior (which really does have a very small amount of leather in it) with a full leather and whilst the difference was evident the standard looked fine to me.
I don't want yet another black interior and have had grey so have actually specified Blackberry, but still may go for the standard black/chalk beige instead if I feel like saving the money...

Hugely personal choices and decisions to make and some colour combinations aren't for the faint hearted (plus the resale consideration if that's a concern).

The colour swatches of interior materials and external colours are representative of true life and if not already done so I would encourage you to spend time reviewing these and look at physical examples of the colours (Taycan or other models) before making your final choice.

My neighbour just picked up his 4S CT in Crayon with the black / crayon (or beige, not sure due to this damn COVID thing) interior, which from a distance looks fine. Crayon is a 'grower' and contrasts well with the dark roof etc.

Red interior - photos would put me off due to oversaturation that occurs and when seen in the flesh I'm still not sold on it and would prefer it to be more subdued.

Black is 'safe' and with a pano roof will not feel claustrophobic.

Grey - potentially a great choice.

Personally, I still can't see past black / crayon.

Thanks all you guys for your replies. I looked a bit further and i found some nice real life pictures of a standard interior (thanks @old seadog). It looks classy enough for me, not plastic like I already have read. Combined with the fact that it's easier to clean according to @mb3195 makes me to decide to stick with the standard interior and spend the 4400eur on other useful options.
I'll probably stick with slate grey as I think black / chalk beige combined with Crayon exterior isn't a nice combo.
Cheers.

We’ve had the extended blackberry leather on both of our Taycan and couldn’t be happier with it.

Colour aside, I feel the extended leather (door, dash, etc.) make a massive difference to the feel of the cabin. If in doubt, I’d try and get a good look (in person) on both options before ordering.

@OJC, you made me doubt again?. Like you proposed, I'll have a look after the holidays at my local Porsche-dealer, hoping there will be two different versions in the showroom so I can compare them.
Thanks !

I have the very same dilemma as you - started with the non-metallic white as I had it on an A5 in the past and loved the flat non “clear coated” finish. Makes it look very modern on a Taycan imho. Carrara is more traditional and has flakes, but to me it’s not better and certainly not worth £800.

Here is a great thread to help you compare the 2 https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/white-colour-range-comparison.2300/

Then I took my wife to the dealership and as she always hated white cars, we agreed on Crayon. I’ve always loved it, as well as the Audi Nardo Grey primer-style flat finish, and it works well on the Taycan with black accents.

Interior-wise I also think standard slate grey is good enough as all panels are wrapped in soft material (same as the expensive Race-Tex option), and it brightens up a bit the interior. Also added Neodyme accents.

If I was going for full leather on Crayon paint, I’d go 1) Black/Crayon 2 tone 2) Black/Bordeaux or if daring 3) Blackberry.

On White, I think you can almost chose any interior, Brown, Crayon, Red… Matter of taste really and you can’t go wrong!

Blackberry with crayon was my choice.... but you know the rule: happy wife, happy life... so I ended wih truffle brown olea and coffe beige exterior... and I like it now. It looks much better in real than on the screen.

We've ordered ice grey paint with blackberry leather and the body coloured accent package - well, if you're going to do it you might as well go for it!!

Hi @Bigben , that's a really useful thread about the white comparison. I'll have a close look at it and

Nice thread where you can actually see the difference between the two whites. Thanks !!
I'll have a close look together with the misses (same here as anywhere ... happy wife etc... ), altough I'm afraid she will dislike the red... too daring for her maybe.

As I just added to my previous comment: I love my combo... it looks much better in real than on configuration screen...
Also, IMO, olea leather worth every € as well.
