I think it is all 2020 - 2025 vehicles until they have been checked or had the software updated once that becomes available.

That’s what I thought but my service advisor and Porsche CS has told me my vehicle has been checked but the software to do additional analysis is the only thing left on my VIN to do at this point.

Anyone found a fully working solution recently for target charging AND explicit preferred charging periods ? Want to charge at home to max X% and only between hours Y and Z. I had a seemingly working solution (with a combination of timer and profile) up until today when it started charging randomly outside the schedule without me making any change to the settings

I’ve had no issues charging from 9PM to 4PM every day to 85%.
I’ve attached my charging profile & timers screenshots.
With these settings I am able to plug in my 120V Porsche charger and it will stop at 85%.
Whenever I want to increase the charge to 100% before a long trip I just change the charge percentage and then save it to my vehicle. It works every time. Good luck!

I have similar settings, but it started going crazy all of a sudden. Will try to use your exact settings (except the hours), will check in the following period (since it's very complicated to test them thoroughly). Thanks

Sorry for being dumb, but I’m a little confused here, do you leave both timers for 9pm and 4pm on? Struggling to wrap my head around how they would interact.

I have one timer set for 05:30 and a home profile for 45% and preferred charging time of 00:30-05:30. This is the time my electricity tariff is cheapest. The 45% is because in those cheaper 5hrs I’m able to add around 40-44% of charge. Most days I get home in the 50s so not an issue, but if below 45% the car will immediately charge up to 45% then shut off and wait for my timer.

Now, the above does work most of the time. Occasionally it will fall short though and I end up with 83 or 84%, I can live with that.

I choose to then lock the settings on my Andersen EV charger so it will only charge in my cheap tariff period. I only unlock it where I need to get to a higher charge or if I’m below 45%.

Never apologise for not understanding the Taycan charging planner.

Designed by the person who would count sheep by turning them upside down, counting the legs and dividing by 4.

This is an amusing reminder of helping on the farm in the 1960s when we had a young guy not from a farming background but who was going to agricultural college come for a year to help as part of his education.
We used to count sheep as thy ran through the gate and he asked how we did it and that is almost exactly what the farmer said, "we count the legs and divide by 4".

To be honest, I have no idea. I tried so many different settings that didn’t work but once it worked with these settings to stop charging between 4pm & 9pm which is my highest charge rate and to only charge between 9pm & 4pm which is my lowest charge rate I never touched it after that.
The only thing I do now is to change the charging percentage on the profile to 100% before a long trip which is very seldom (maybe once every 2-3 months) and let it do it’s thing.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. I want to charge only between 08:00-17:00 and only untill a max target of 85%. These are the settings I used, based on yours. At 20:42 it's still charging

The only way it works is this:

Porsche Taycan Charge to 85% - What on earth is going on!!! 1750010432823-ih

This method charges above only between 08:00-17:00 and only until 85%. It worked ok for the past weeks, however, as mentioned, last night it started acting weird: started charging at random times, between 05:15-07:20, then 07:25-07:35, then 07:50-+onwards

It looks like you have your home setting at 25% not 85%.
This setting is for the charge percentage you want it to stop charging so this setting is defeating your home profile because you’re telling the charger to stop at 25%.

That's the "minimum charge" setting. If I set it at 85% (like I did based on your settings) it will not stop charging at 17:00 and instead it will continue ignoring my preferred charging time. You can see that in the first row of screenshots

That’s what I thought too but I was told to enter the stop charging % for when I want it to stop. When I had it set at 30% originally it didn’t work for me.
I also have a backup 15A/125V mechanical timer attached to my 120V Porsche charger which will only allow power to the charger in my garage from 9pm to 4pm so there is no way it can ever charge during the higher rate periods.
You can use a mechanical timer for 120V charging since the max current will be 10A on a timer rated for 15A.
I’ve been doing this for over a year now with no issues.
I have no idea how charging at 220/240V in a garage would work for the timer & profiles but I would think it would be the same.
Good Luck.
