For some time we are unable to get our (2020) Tay to charge up more than 140 miles……this is on our home 50 Amp dedicated circuit.

Profile is set to 100%.
It charges for about 1 hour 15 minutes then stops. Porsche wall unit says “Charging ended”…..or occasionally says “Charging not possible”.
We re-start charge multiple times.
Occasionally get the message on the Porsche wall unit of:
Restricted operation, PLC error. Restart your device by pressing the power button for 10 seconds. Should the error recur, please contact a Specialist shop.
We restart charging and again it stops after a little more than an hour…..still netting only 140 mile range.

Sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks in advance.

What is the SOC it stops at?

is the charger connected to your home network via PLC or WLAN?

Disable PLC as a network connection (power line communications) on your PMC+ or PMCC if not using this to connect to your home network if not using WiF i- one or the other.

Do you have any timers active - if so please share?

Mine did something similar but I was not using a Porsche cable. Changed cable and now charges faster and gets to 100%

Home WIFI.
SOC....45-50%....varies but this A.M. after plugging in last night, it shows 29% and 150 mile range.

@GreggT As @W1NGE mentioned, disable PLC to your home network in the settings (Web UI) and this error will not appear any longer. Nothing to worry about.

Do you have any active profiles? Timers? What are the settings of those?

We are assuming you have the Porsche Mobile Charger Connect (PMCC) as your EVSE / Charger.

If this is correct then you will have received a white envelope with it which contains user names and passwords.

When connected to your WiFi there is a separate web interface to access your PMCC.

In the menus there will be a section on connecting to a network etc.

PLC has to functions - 1) PLC from EVSE (charger) to vehicle / car and 2) PLC to router. Is the latter then should be disabled.

Power Line Communications (PLC) relates to how you connect PMCC to your home network and also how it communicates to the car.

Please confirm which EVSE / charger you are using as I could be rambling unnecessarily?

Also, 29% SoC and 150 miles of available range. That doesn't seem to be correct. That would mean you would have 500 miles of range at 100%. No Taycan has that.

Would it be possible to provide an image that data and the profile settings?

Yep - impossible I’d say unless UOM is KM
