Huge operation - impressive!Lot of cars there on satellite map!
Hopefully port processing goes quickly. There are no open campaigns on my car so keeping my fingers crossed there is a truck waiting for the 4 hour drive to Columbia, SC.CTH moored at Blount island
Any thoughts on how long it usually takes to process cars through Houston? (Ignore this if we've already had this conversation.)SFL Conductor now at 19+ knots (ca 22 mph) - fastest I've seen her move in the entire journey - crew must be pining for some Margaritas
This would be the sort of view you'd get of the boat from Bayport terminal but suspect won't even have this as it will be middle of the night when she pass by:
I feel like someone just picked 1/14 because it’s their favorite date. I’ve seen numerous people with that date, all on different vessels, going different places.TYD changed for me today to show I am on the port processing stage. Timeline has not changed though. Still shows 1/14/21 as the delivery date.
Honestly hard to tell but if cars have no campaigns on them it really should not take more ethan a week. At least one user reported exactly that in last month at Houston - others in Baltimore got theirs in 48 hours no less but this a little bit unusual. As prev discussed it likely comes down to availability of a truck and space on it - I am hoping that being with Porsche North there is a chance that trucks with cars for that dealership and on to Dallas might be in my favor but who knows!Any thoughts on how long it usually takes to process cars through Houston? (Ignore this if we've already had this conversation.)
TYD typically sets Fridays as expected milestone dates. Once your car reaches Emden Port and is assigned to a vessel, TYD dates are basically useless. And the expected dates TYD lists after that milestone are weeks later than reality.I feel like someone just picked 1/14 because it’s their favorite date. I’ve seen numerous people with that date, all on different vessels, going different places.
But no guaranty of docking before the 10th as scheduled? They might have to wait offshore for some time until a dock opens like we have seen before, or do we know they can go straight in to the dock when they arrive?SFL Conductor - 4:45pm Hou Time
About 525 miles to go and ca. 30-35 hours to dock!
Think positive. But no guaranty of docking before the 10th as scheduled? They might have to wait offshore for some time until a dock opens like we have seen before, or do we know they can go straight in to the dock when they arrive?
See a prev post I shared with you #1149 - I uploaded the revised docking date for the SFL Conductor from Hou Port Auth - now Dec 8th and same berth as before #25 - Conductor now departs the Houston Port on Dec 10 . - Also that berth is currently unoccupied and Conductor next in line - Port Auth. has a 5am arrival Dec 8th - ship track predicts 5+ hours earlier than that. But no guaranty of docking before the 10th as scheduled? They might have to wait offshore for some time until a dock opens like we have seen before, or do we know they can go straight in to the dock when they arrive?
What parts of car get PPF, details, etc.? I'm still deciding.SFL Conductor - 7:40 AM Hou Time:
Have my PPF, window tint and side marker swap out all lined up for next week
