Divine! Very jealous. Be interesting to hear if anyone currently waiting for build to complete gets one through.

We stuck our deposit down in November 2021. Was told 2nd quarter 22 ("hopefully May") for probable delivery at that point. It's the Turbo S so maybe not quite the same lead in times as a lot of 4S models.

Was told today it'll be at least June and that that's also deliberately vague as it could be longer.

Will just need to see what happens in the next few weeks...

We will see if anyone with a build date of after the supposed shutdown date (7 March?) moves from fixed into production to completed. At least then we will know that slow progress is being made.

So I had my first contact from Porsche today (I'm leasing through my company scheme) nice guy from Porsche Nottingham. I've got a build slot but because of the war causing supply chain issues I'm not getting my car by June. Be lucky if its by end of summer! I ordered it end of May 21! Oh well. I was given the details for the Porsche experience at Silverstone though so I'll book that in. Could be worse. Hey-ho the wait goes on.
Oh crap i ordered a RWD in December 2021 and was told EDD Q3 2022. Looks like NO CHANCE that will be happening then!. I was hoping to get it before September 2022 when the price rises hit!

Looks awesome, congrats! Picked it up from Calcot? Had a call from my salesman there this week to say build date has moved from 23rd March to 27th April, expected delivery 27th May, didn't seem overly confident that it would stay like that though

I honestly think mine is further delayed because its a lease. I think if you ordered direct with Porsche you are higher priority. Everyone's cars are delayed to an extent but I think lease cars are lower priority to Porsche dealers.

Pleased with the new car and the spec I went for. Thankfully, this one works! Yet to really drive it, since it’s been receiving PPF this week.

I’ve had Mission E wheels on both my Taycan’s but have only covered 2000 miles collectively across the pair. Hence, couldn’t really gauge tyre wear. Like every car, it depends how you drive it. I believe average tyre life on a 911 is around 6k miles. However, my last set of boots on my 911 lasted 38k miles!

I’d expect a little more tyre wear than average given the weight of the car being well over 2,000kg and the torque being so high. The greater influence is definitely how the car is driven.
Hi Doc

Question really over the moon with the car so much so thinking of placing order for Turbo when do you think Porsche will update Taycan so do I Place order now or what is Porsche cycle for new models

A few people have said the same about leasing, I ordered mine 16th August direct with Porsche GB HQ in Calcot, Reading, and original lock in date was 3rd March, planned build date was 23rd March. Lock in date never changed but build been pushed back a month. Someone else I know ordered through a leasing company a month before me and hasn't even got a lock in date yet.

Yup that sounds like me. I've literally only just been contacted by the dealership over a week ago having ordered it last May. It will be the longest I've ever waited for a car. Will be worth the wait though. As long as its not an auld banger that is
