They are expecting this pause to be up to 6 months roughly till they can find an alternative supplier.

Is that the dealer's expectation, or Porsche's? I'm not sure that the dealers are getting much more detail than we have at this stage. Either way, it does say "up to", which seems a plausible worst case.

They forgot to mention the cherry on top of the extended delay:

I've not heard that yet...

But all you need to do is look at used prices, definitely a 5 to 10 percent increase.

Feedback is they've not heard this at all. Pushed by a month so far. He wonders whether it could apply to those that are not fixed in production. But let's keep asking and sharing updates!

The dealers do not know much detail on this but they have been busy ringing customers today to make them aware. To be fair they were very vague and have been told to say upto 6 months delay at this stage.

For reference I put my deposit down just over a month ago and not got a build slot yet.

If I get a call from my dealer I might end up in hospital from the shock!!
In my case my dealer’s attitude all along has been one of ‘we’re doing you a big favour selling you one of our fabulous cars. Be thankful, you don’t know how lucky you are!’

It shows how mad (first world problems mad I hasten to add, unlike people losing lives & homes elsewhere en masse right now)things are getting when Tom Hartley currently have a delivery mileage 22 plate Taycan Turbo on sale for ~£160k! Granted, that’s screen price not deal price but crikey!

So I had my first contact from Porsche today (I'm leasing through my company scheme) nice guy from Porsche Nottingham. I've got a build slot but because of the war causing supply chain issues I'm not getting my car by June. Be lucky if its by end of summer! I ordered it end of May 21! Oh well. I was given the details for the Porsche experience at Silverstone though so I'll book that in. Could be worse. Hey-ho the wait goes on.
