Hi, I’m new to the forum and have learnt so much from you all. Thank you.

I’m in the process of placing my order (4S) and apparently the person in front of me just got told expected delivery is February 2024. Yes, 2024. Is it because this is through lease? From the earlier comments on here the longest timeframe I’m seeing is 12 months…I’ll take that over 24 months! Any hints and tips on what I could do to accelerate this?

Explore waiting times for different models (Turbo shorter than 4S etc) and ring round dealerships to see how many they have in the queue. 4S are the worst by far. Good luck!

I placed an order for a 4S sport Turismo (Hatfield) on Jan 22 expecting a build time in June this year.

I had initially specked a 4S Cross Turismo expecting around a 1 year waiting time but got lucky that this new line just came out with a very short waiting time.

Different lines have different lead times at different dealerships so it’s good to shop around and find out.

That seems a ridiculously specific estimate this far out? ...probably based on some lazy assumptions that don't take account of such things as:
Production volumes (as yet unscheduled) of the specific variant;
Introduction of competing new Porsche models or Taycan variants;
Introduction of other manufacturers' offerings;
People having had enough of the waiting and got an alternative;
People who've waited so long that they now need a different kind of vehicle (in the worst case, a hearse).

On a different subject has anyone on this forum got the MyPorsche app showing the 5 phases of production from order to delivery?
I’m curious to know how quickly you went from phase 3 to 4?

How did you get this? I've had the Silverstone invite and booked this. Downloaded the app and created the account, but the app is asking for the vehicle VIN number which I won't have as it's not built yet!

Do you mean GTS Sport Turismo? You can't order a Sport Turismo with any other model besides GTS.

The TYD now rebranded "Behind the Scenes" facility wasn't available to all dealerships in the UK when I ordered last July. It was being tested in a few but not all. It may now be available to new orders but I don't know for sure. You can ask your dealer about it - they will know.

You can in the UK... RWD, 4, 4S, Turbo, Turbo S and GTS

You can order it in the UK, not sure about other countries.
It’s possible my order has been delayed but I still hope to get it in the summer.

I guess yours was in production before the March 3rd cut off then. Looks like November 2021 orders onwards is going to see anyone else suffer delays.
