I was getting that too. Are you using the Porsche App widget on your phone? It pings the car so often that my dashcam is constantly recording. I removed the widget and it doesn't seem to drop % overnight anymore.
Just the app, not the widget. Didn't know there was one 😂

Edit: oh I found the widget. That's pretty cool but as you say, might drain the car further.

Coincidentally, I also started putting my car key far from my garage. Not sure if that was causing the car to keep waking up.

It's worth understanding three distinct concepts that could be at play: BMS sway, phantom drain and temperature related capacity loss.

Here is a fun overview of all three:

I have always been fortunate with great range on my 2020 4S.
310 to 330 @ 100% spring/summer.
Fall/Winter 250-265 @ 85% and 285-300 @ 100%.
Or you drive like a grandma 😂

Joking. Impressive range. I have too much city driving and short routes to ever achieve that.

I don't think it's every day. Just the first night while the battery cools down from using it throughout the day.

Let's do this for science:

20:30, I'm going to use the car in 12h only

Let's see tomorrow morning.
Of course this morning nothing was lost just to prove I'm imagining things...

I'll keep watching it. Ugh 🙄

The Taycan never loses a drop. The car was stood for several weeks while we were away recently. Didn’t lose anything then either. Not hooked up to AC.

By comparison I’ve had the Tesla sat for 3.5 weeks just on the street and it lost maybe 15% SoC in that time. Not hooked up.

My take on it is that Porsche has been super conservative about waking up the HV subsystem for anything whilst the car is stood. Infamously we know that the algorithm for charging the 12v battery is very, vary sparing and has a maximum total recharge limit of 8 cycles whilst the car is otherwise switched off. Tesla on the other hand will wake up the HV system to charge the 12v battery an infinite number of times to keep it topped up.

I'm now pretty sure the percentage "adjustment" must occur during the first couple of hours as the battery cools off. When I took the measurement last evening, the car had been standing 4h already. I will try to take a measurement right when I lock the car and then check every 2h on the app (which will certainly bring a little bit of drainage I suppose). I think it's the drop from 32C to 20C (89.6F to 68F) that makes the car adjust the expected %

I also hd this, eventually I figured out it was comfort access with the setting enabled to start preheat/precool when vehicle was unlocked.

Final entry: I give up

Bloody car must have ears or is reading the forum.

Parked at 17:28 with 50% and 199km range (battery was at 37C)

6h later: 50% and 203km range.

I swear I'm not crazy 🤪.
