2-80% today in 21 minutes. Saw peak rates of 274kw, didn’t taper under 200kw until 60%. I’ve owned 3 teslas and none have ever charged this fast. They hit 250kw for 3 minutes then drop to under 100kw after 50%. Tesla might have more and better chargers, but Taycan is a road trip king if you want to get from point a to point b the quickest

when it works as well as your session did it is great.
I have rarely achieved similar speeds.

my biggest issue with EA after their lack of maintaining their chargers is congestion at the chargers.

with all the new EVs on the road, and many of them have "free" charging like we taycan owners do I am finding it difficult to find an available charger, I have to wait for one to open up.

speedy charging is great but if I have to wait 20-30 minutes for a clueless opportunity charger to get their car to 100% the value of that fast charging is gone.

My issue on my roadtrip was cars hogging 350kw chargers. ID4s, Mustangs, BOLTS, all cars that can’t charge above 150kw hogging up 350kw chargers.

i did notice on most of hte 150kw chargers i plugged into i was getting 175kw.

yes when EA works - it works sooooo well - faster than any Tesla supercharger session I ever experienced…

if they can improve reliability EA would be a great network and really really make EV's better - but stations offline (3 of 4 offline for weeks at my local site) and wonky charging speeds make EA frustrating…

268 kW is my best achieved with an EA site…
175 kW on a 150 kW station is common…

I'd love a reliable CCS network.

congrats!

So far batting 100% still with 16 charge sessions at 9 separate EA stations in 1.5 years - best I've seen is less than you at 241 kW :) - same issue re non-800v cars hogging 350 chargers but only twice to date - fully expect that to get worse though as more and more brands appear on roads but then again, more brands are offering 800v pt. forward.

I think my biggest pet peeve with EA is the people sitting there waiting for 100% charge 🙄
They should almost cap the chargers at 80 percent as standard. Or introduce a wait list, such as if theres someone behind you on the wait list it caps at 80, and if not, it will keep charging and disconnect if theres someone there.

@xyeahtony you're a brave person, going all the way down to 2%. Respect.

@mikezhang31 I get it, but you never know one's circumstances. Their next destination could be home around the block, or 150 miles across the mountains with no services. I've had people give me glances while charging at a higher SoC - and, believe me, I think no less of them than they do of me.

At one of the stations there was a chevy bolt plugged into a 350kw charger. And when they were done charging, they unplugged and just sat there for another 10-15 mins. There was nobody waiting for a spot but still dick move.
