I haven't seen any pictures of the exterior but the interior styling was on a web page I was sent yesterday and to my taste it is stunning, Ferrari interiors have been a tasteless mess for quite a few years IMO and this really is lovely IMO.
As an owner I have always felt the interior is more important than the exterior because that is what I see.

You are right in that it’s your opinion but I disagree with it. My 296 interior is absolutely stunning and flawless in design execution - even the touch controls on the steering wheel (which I initially hated) work great now - not perfect but usable once you learn how to use them.

812 for me upon retirement.
Goal is set. Need to drive a V12, when it probably will be "banned by society" by then.
Nice choice and the same idea my neighbour had. His only mistake was buying a green one, which really does no justice to the car - but he’s happy with it so that’s all that matters.

Well my opinion is strongly influenced by my engineering background.
Carbon fibre structure = 👍
Carbon fibre trim/embellishment = 🤢

What everyone forgets is that electric vehicles are a bit soulless. Ferrari is about having a soul. (Porsche is more about dynamics and they nailed that) Therefore, Ferrari is repositioning itself in this market. Horsepower, torque, and other performance metrics are significantly cheaper to produce at other brands. With the EV, Ferrari appears to be selling luxury, haute couture, and exclusivity. It will likely be a fast status symbol, not the fastest.

I like it so far. I hope I can afford it. I probably can after 2 years of depreciation. RR tried the same formula with the Spectre, and that one is affordable for RR standards

Also, being an engineer I fully agree.

@f1eng That’s so funny…Firstly there was no mention about carbon fibre at all. Secondly, anyone that has ever had an opportunity to configure a Ferrari knows that you don’t get any carbon fibre trim/embellishment for free - it’s a personal choice and if you choose it that’s entirely up to you and your wallet. Same incidentally on the Taycan..

So in short, whilst I respect your engineering prowess and preference it’s not really a valid point in this case. We are so lucky to live in a world where we can choose based on our own preferences.

Cosmetic CF doesn't have any engineering benefits, but the the weave is beautiful when done properly.
It's a work of art IMO.

I don't see any benefits to Forged carbon other than saving $ for the manufacturer

Exactly.
What material has such a 3D effect like CF has?
I really can't think of any.
Still, what BMW did with the monocoque of the old i3 and i8 is just pure engineering porn.

I know it is optional and it was me that mentioned CF which so many cars have 🤢
It is an excellent structural material and wasted on embellishment IMO.

I was glad I didn't have to have carbon trim anywhere on my Taycan, or a black interior, or drug dealer windows, or a glass roof too. I probably wouldn't have bought one if not.

All, of it is just a matter of taste and yours, and many others, is different to mine.

Your opinion is NOT more important or more valid than mine, just different.

I see it and think "what a waste" unless it is structural.
