Hit A Curb

Was attending Porsche’s Cayenne EV launch party when I hit a curb at the dealership, heard a weird noise. This is the damage. Thankfully I have wheel and tire extended warranty but I’m wondering how safe it is to drive.

Bro' I would not drive that car - that looks liek a nasty gash. You must have hit it really hard. New tire but i think you can save the wheel with a good refurbish job.

Definitely not worth the risk! You should replace the tire asap. Rim looks fine, just scratched

You have just taken off some of the rubber designed to protect the wheel which is non-structural.

I don't see exposed cords or a bulge ... so I'd say it's just cosmetic

I have a scheduled appointment on Saturday but it is my daily driver so I’ll have to just drive carefully from now until then.

I would also drive it carefully normal and just not take it to VMax.
Otherwise it does not look nice, bit also not as a safety-risk from the pics.

As you have wheel and tire coverage, it’s time to use it. The tire may be unsafe at highway speeds due to the sidewall damage, so there is no reason to test whether it is.
Whether the rim is forged or cast, whether its bent or cracked, or if its just cosmetic damage, will inform if the rim can be safely repaired. Given that you have insurance, a new rim is preferable. Rim straightening repairs can affect the structural integrity of the rim.
I don’t like easily avoidable unnecessary risk without a substantial reward, so that skews my opinion.

Quick update, service advisor told me driving like this was fine: no chords, no issues. The sidewall did the job, protected the inner part of the tire and larger damage to the wheel. He also said the wheel and tire warranty wouldn’t cover the tire for that same reason, but repairing the wheel would be covered. I opted to order and replace the tire for peace of mind because with my luck, I would have an issue in the middle of nowhere or at night.
