A lot
Not at all.
Only good attention.
I love kids grabbing their phones to quickly make a picture.
It's a head turner, still.

Only at allocation stage before lock in - but family are suggesting it could be too flashy and attract the wrong attention. Live in a decent area, but have to travel to not so decent areas with work a reasonable amount!
The only negative attention I've received while driving a Porsche through not-so-decent areas was from police. I've been pulled over for marginal reasons to make sure I wasn't carrying contraband. :p

I have to ask- your profile says Ukraine- how challenging is it to charge your car with all the electrical supply issues?
Since my home charger outputs about 5kw, it is an issue because we only get about 4-5 hours of power a day, sometimes more, sometimes less. I also have a 22kw diesel power generator (oh the irony) but I’m hesitant to charge the Taycan from it.
So what I usually do is leave it at the mall charger while I’m shopping (Those are almost always on, industrial areas are prioritized), but I’m not the only one so if there are queues I go to another one nearby that has paid parking, it’s empty 99% of the time because 99% of EVs here are either Nissan Leafs or VW E-Golf, and their owners are hesitant to pay the extra parking fee :)

P.S. Apologies for derailing the topic.

We used to own a DB11 and a beautiful 3 coat red Maserati GT. These are loud, shouty and relatively exotic cars that say "look at me" (less so the DB11 which just has the cool factor). The Taycan is, for better or worse, very common and has not drawn any attention so far. No more "nice car mate" remarks but that's just fine!

My son insisted my new car had to be electric. So I bought a Taycan (MY'20) when it came out. He was so embarrassed by it. "It's a rich person's car, Dad. It's too flashy. People will think you're a jerk." and so on.

And then I let him drive it and he changed his tune. :CWL:

No negative attention as of yet. It does help that Taycans aren't particular rare in the CA Bay Area.

A little different take on your question here.

Small business owner here and my car parking spot for years was visible when going in my building door. When I first got the car, there were one too many comments about it (most thought it was a 911 as they would see it from the front) and under the impression that it was some exotic high priced vehicle (yet no problem that they have an Escalade, or Raptor, etc). I moved my parking spot so that it is not visible and zero comments since. I was worried about that when deciding to buy and I was correct.

Secondly, I try to park far away (for dings) and if I am getting an estimate on some work or doing some negotiation of a price on something as the price estimate immediately goes up (as another member mentioned).

Expensive looking (even if not actually expensive) cars can definitely drive up estimates, since a lot of estimates are about "how much is the work worth to the client" or "what is the most the customer is willing to pay for this". I've seen this on so many occasions, a good example was a kitchen counter quote which a woman comes, takes a look at the house, then writes up an estimate for about twice the square footage of quartz counters. :CWL: When I questioned her where she got the number, she could not actually tell me even how she measured or calculated the square footage (even though she did take measurements of the kitchen, I think that was just for show). The estimate was clearly based purely on "how much can I take this guy for". Ended up getting it done for less than half of of that price through a contractor who knew how to measure and who quoted me the price per square foot over the phone.

That is why I often park our fancier cars down the street and park kids' cars in the driveway on occasions when getting estimates. One time when I had a fence quoted, I just kept the garage closed, but after my wife opened the garage to take out some garbage, the guy saw two Teslas and increased the estimate by 20% on the spot, telling me he made a mistake on quote he just gave me 2 minutes earlier. Unfortunately for him, he just increased the number of linear feet of fence to be built, rather than per foot price. I saw that and agreed. When the job was done, I measured the completed fence with him, which showed that his original estimate was right on as far a linear feet, so he had to adjust the invoice back down. He was not very happy about it.

Well - a colleague of my wife, a high school teacher, told her, disapprovingly, "you can feed an African nation for the price of that car".

Little boys often enthusiastically point fingers, their parents not so. And sometimes women wearing too much makeup stare dreamingly, with the subliminal message "I will do everything for you if you put me in that car". I guess that is positive.

Obviously not a math, econ, or any STEM subject teacher. Perhaps drama? ;)

Not necessarily, you can buy the entire population of Seychelles (95K) a box of Skittles for the price of a base Taycan.

Over 100K population in 2022, but I understand your point. However, in order to actually feed that nation, you would have to include cost of shipping and distributing to each citizen, which I suspect would be higher than a $1 per person.
