My Taycan ST RWD ( Dolomite Silver) was meant to be delivered from Cambridge (UK) last Friday, but garage called to say the weren’t allowed to register or release it. They updated this morning to say that they were asked to run a Vehicle Analysis Log and send it to Germany. It would take them around d 3 days to assess the results at which point they would let the dealer know whether they could release it or not
I’m also expecting mine to arrive at Porsche Cambridge any day now, I’ve contacted my SA there to enquire about the stop sale but he was very vague in details. In all fairness I think they themselves are relatively in the dark. Out of interest how long did it take for your car to reach Cambridge after arriving at Sheerness?

I believe my car is either en-route to dealership or at the dealership, but I haven't received a call back yet and certainly no news about a stop-sale. However, I asked for the invoice last week and I noted a registration number on it, so to me it has been registered. Are we sure the stop-sale would prevent registration?
Mine was registered before the stop-sale. However, I can’t imagine they would register the car now, until the stop-sale has been lifted.

About a week or so - it's been a
bloody torturous process

Moderately obscure reference, and not intended to minimize the frustration, but I'm constantly thinking of the Curb Your Enthusiasm episode, A Disturbance in the Kitchen while I've been following all this. I wish there was a GIF or something, but I found this clip... Maybe you guys could use a chuckle.

Great episode, and it's a running joke we use regularly whenever there's some issue in the house we don't care to give the details about ;).

Hi All,
just got a letter in the mail dated 16 May 23 regarding a recall APA2 that affects certain 2020-2023 911 and Taycan. (My VIN on the list).
..its regarding the passenger seat belt visual and sound warning not working if passenger seated and not wearing seatbelt when the car is on. Apparently a software reprogramming is needed.
perhaps this is the stop sale due to it being a safety recall?

Perhaps, but in 45 years of driving Porsches I’ve only ever ordered 2, the first one was delayed at the port for 5 weeks, Porsche refused, to this day, to tell me or the dealer what they held it for. And now the Taycan, though this has only been a week. Having been in the community for so long I’ve heard stories of missed deliveries as far back as I can remember yet I always come back. I guess that makes me a gluten for punishment……… Or a Porschephile ?

BTW, they gave me a nice Panamera 4 to drive around while I wait.
Gluten for punishment.. teehee. I like this.

My SA says my car waiting in port doesn't have any campaigns or stop sales so who knows. maybe PCNA just can't find a truck driver lol

I was due to collect my car last Thursday. Not heard anything since, anyone heard what the issue is, and when it might be resolved, my dealer "seems" to have no clue ??

I don't think the dealers know. Mine wasn't aware of the issue but said it was affecting nearly 50 of their cars soon to be delivered. Mine included. I have nice photos of it at the dealership though waiting for me.

All mine could tell me was that German HQ had asked them to send a VAL report from the car. They were advised it could take 3-4 days for them to analyse and revert with go / no go opn whether they could release the car to me.. The SA had no clue what Porsche were looking for or how long it would take if they found something amiss
