For the alarm, there is a fix. You should ask your dealer.
Did you have yours fixed? I only saw one person post (think it was on the FB group) that he got it repaired.

Mine was fixed yesterday, one hour repair time. Everything ok. They have changed one sensor near the SOS button.

Thanks. I think I will give them a call and see if they can get my key and fix the sensor.

I think it's safe to say that an owner of a 2020/2021 wouldn't agree with your first comment. In fact, a little patronizing, but written word can be tough to convey without implied emotion.

Here is what I will say though. With a 2022, I think you might have an insulated view of the issues. Most of the problematic issues are resident in the 2020/2021 cars. That said, as you pointed out, your car has a bug. I'm pleased to hear that it isn't a bother for you; however, there are 31 pages of concern in this thread alone (there are MANY others) where others might disagree.

Funny that you would kind of equate a forum for a gripe zone. It is but its a fraction and only amplified by the body of people expressing views towards it. There are threads about wheels, colors, options to choose, range, love for the car itself and "show us your car" links. Those that don't draw interest might bring just a few responses. Generally, the longer the thread, the more shared the experience or prevalent the issue is.

I have a bias towards getting what was promised during a transaction. As I am certain most do here.

Again, if this were ANY other product like a phone, or electronic device this would be a returned item. If this were brakes or steering wheels working 'most of the time' and only occasionally let the driver down it would be life and death. There are a few on here that have experienced bricking of the car mid drive with the PCM as the origin.

Im not new to Porsche, or high end cars. I have NEVER seen anything like this before in the 30+ cars that I have owned.
Quite the rant and entirely unnecessary, however I will respect your opinion but of course do not for one minute agree with it. Fully aware of which cars have more issues than others - all I commented on was your Pt. 1 where you state "EVERY Taycan has a bug" that "limits the car's ability to perform" - I completely disagree with that statement which is quite simply untrue - my experience BTW just as long as yours and in respect cars owned. If you consider a typo as limiting the experience of my car to perform, then your standards are high indeed .

Rant - Ill take that...it is indeed. And, my standards are high, and the reason I bought another Porsche rather an something else. Your experience is not mine - congrats, as I mentioned earlier. FWIW you misquoted me (it happens)...in that, you missed the keystone of that sentence, "as designed". It does not work as designed; even in your case, its a point of fact.

The beauty of this is the forum itself allowing different perspectives and I trust that you don't work for Porsche quality control.

EVERY Taycan on the road today has bugs resident within the current PCM system. They are numerous and well documented. And they limit the car's ability to perform as designed.
Absolutely everything is working 100%
Obviously two different takes on the current state of the PCM.

I've had my Taycan for two months now and I have been keeping careful notes about what doesn't work in the PCM. From what I can see, all of the issues which I would classify as a bug are related to Bluetooth connectivity: the car does not reliably make a bluetooth connection and everything related to this will either partially or completely fail. Example: every time I enter my Taycan, the car cannot 'see' my iPhone. Yet I can still play music from my iPhone (I have NOT signed up for Apple Music) but CarPlay will not completely launch (you might see the CarPlay UI but there are no apps shown).

In my opinion, there is something wrong with the Taycan bluetooth implementation. How bluetooth can half work is beyond my level of understanding.

In addition to the bluetooth issues, there are a bunch of silly things, like when you send a text message through CarPlay you don't pick back up on the music you were playing (you have to hit the 'Play' button on the PCM to get music going again). This is more of a 'quirk' rather than a bug.

In addition to the bugs and glitches, there are some things I'd like to see. Example: saving driving mode (Sport, Normal) and regeneration mode (recoup on/off) to a drivers profile so you don't need to set these every time you get in the car. Also, it would be nice to have a setting where you can raise the car to the highest level when you go into Park to make it easier to get out of the car.

Hi everyone,

just to chip and try and help on this software version, quality and app issues

since having a Taycan from day and pushing Porsche Germany to apply the wireless CarPlay to the original models and having loads of bugs I am super aware of the frustrations and emotions.

Over the last two years, I have been contacting and corresponding with the Taycan leadership, User interface team and general Porsche management offering feedback from a customer perspective.

two threads, one from @SHN

on how customer experience could be improved

https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/how-can-we-help-porsche-to-improve.1309/#post-15693
and one thread from myself on user interface improvements

https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/user-interface-improvements.1985/
See the attachments below

I genuinely believe that groups have louder voices.

If we genuinely want to push for backwards application of software, better fixes to the outstanding bugs and get a single app that works them I’m happy to pull this into a single thread with a bit of help from this community.

We can get this into a coordinated pack with a view we get something that can be shared and discussed with Porsche leadership as a collective.

or we can keep it in the forum and cross our fingers

I would 100% be on board with this. Honestly, I love my 2020 Taycan, but will likely never buy another Porsche if they don't stand behind this vehicle.

We have had 8 software updates on our Lucid already, that we have had for 2 months. Each one brings new features and bug fixes. Our Tesla had updates pretty much all the time. Even our old Ford with the horrendous MyFordTouch system had a bunch of updates.

Based on this I'm also concerned that Porsche won't give us the adaptive headlights that NHTSA has just approved. We should all have Matrix headlights that support the functionality.

I heard from a guy who heard from another guy who got it on the DL, that adaptive headlights will be enabled when the 150kw/400v DC on-board charger option is used for the first time. Waiting on the super charger stations to have CCS. ???
