Interesting, I just took delivery of a 2023 Cayenne Turbo GT with matrix lights. Anyway to tell if they actually enabled the matrix feature? Only done 71 miles so far, so not had enough play time to see impact at night (if any).

Update: Just checked the configurator, still has this statement:

Note: Full LED-Matrix functionality (individual operation of 84 LEDs) is limited for the US market. Individual LEDs are programmed to operate as a single light source to perform the functions listed above.

You should see the LEDs switch on and off when projecting close to a garage door / wall for example. This test works for me - not perfect and probably there is a more scientific way to do it.

Alternatively, driving at night > 40 mph and no street lights, watch the light beam change as you approach a car / road signs - near side verge and signs are illuminated.

Full beam 'A' needs to be illuminated to ensure the function is on.

Check PCM for headlight settings also.

Very cool, though, being in the US there's not much point to spec the headlights unless there's clear assurance that the full capability is being used. I have the existing matrix lights on my Taycan and our Polestar does as well, not holding my breath as to when/if they'd be enabled.

I have them on my Taycan and Cayenne, I accept its cosmetic (because of the desire for the black) :) this just would be a nice upside.
