Porsche home charging station overheating

I ordered a 25 foot cable with my Porsche charger for my Taycan. Charger
getting extremely hot .
A warning about overheating appeared on the screen.
Also- having problems connecting car to charger.
Electrician who installed charging station is coming to my house this week.
Anyone else experiencing this?

there are many existing threads on this - the PMCC is far from the best North American EV charger - but it is the most expensive - few if any on this forum would recommend it. There are better and less costly alternatives for EV charging.

this topic has been well covered in the forums and I just don’t have the energy tonight to repeat all the existing information.

the PMCC sucks and overheats that’s a fact. If you want to have a charger that doesn’t do that get something else but not the Porsche one.
