so 3 mm dents cause a complete battery replacement and the enclosure has design issues? is that the gist here?

interesting spin of some "facts" into the the most negative outcome possible - but yeah Porsche is struggling when they are outside their comfort zone…all the legacy guys are having trouble…

we're still early in this transition - changes will be made things will get better - static approaches will fail and doomday peole always assume a lack of adaptation…

I"m hoping the Macan is better in these spaces as it's a newer design that should have learned from any actual weaknesses from the Taycan…

I dont think Porsche is loving it's EV's right now - but I'm not sure it's as bad as this video would make you believe with out some critical thinking.

I've not watched the YT vid.

Is it just some random dramatising 'facts' that are second hand to get clicks?

Or is it a reputable source who has actually done some research first hand with an informative and unbiased opinion?

I suspect the former, given the big smiling/shocked face as the cover shot with a dramatic headline.

I used to think gutter newspapers were bad, but YT has multiplied it exponentially with every wannabe Jeremy Clarkson who owns a camera churning out stuff.

Probably just the same old misinformation publishing the internet is full of.
The dangerous thing is whether it is malicious or distorting facts for profit. in some way, commercial or political.

I went through an excercise a few years ago trying to consider which news outlets were likely to be neutral, ie not owned by some oligarch, and there are almost none.

Well, it may be clickbait, but when you’re waiting for a recovery truck for the 2nd time in as many months, it is clear Porsche have a problem. If they don’t resolve these HV issues, they will have no brand credibility….

Still love driving my Taycan, but feel like its an adventure every time I drive more than few miles from home. The adventure is not the good type. While I only have been stuck once, it was an extremely unpleasant experience.

All these years I’ve been so very wrong on so many things. For the longest time I always thought Lucas was the prince of darkness. Maybe positive grounds? Now I’m seeing all these electrical faults on Taycan owners with the Union Jack Flag. Perhaps it was never Lucas but the British Isles themselves that cause these electrical issues. More research I think needs to be done.

Perhaps we are the only ones, but my wife and I love our MY2022 GTS. The service center has performed the warranty work / recalls in a timely fashion and professionally. They replaced the PMCC with a new charger and we haven’t had any issues since then. We charge 95% of the time overnight in the garage so the lack of a good high speed public charging infrastructure doesn’t affect us too much. The car is amazing to drive and elicits many compliments for its styling.
No the tech is not as good as my friend’s Tesla but we bought this car for driving pleasure, not to play with a screen (we do enough of that on all of our other devices)
Sure the depreciation is high but so are most luxury cars (although wish we’d also bought a 911 a couple of years ago!). Since we don’t plan to sell, the depreciation is not a big deal to us.

Can’t tell you how much it means to me to hear my wife tell me how much she loves her car.

Not dismissing anyone on this forum as I really appreciate the numerous experiences that you all share. Helps me bring points up to the service advisor who often hasn’t heard about issues before I bring them to his attention. Just thought I’d offer a counterpoint from a pretty happy Taycan GTS owner.

Total click bait. He posted the same video about BMW EVs as well

I’m going to rush out and sell my car to buy a BYD
