My MY22 4S came with Continental Premium Contact 6 tyres. Currently on 22,500 miles including 2 european road trips. Tyres still have 3mm of tread. Apparently they have a softer compound than Michelins. Replacement set of 4 is about £750.
Those are 19”?

Replaced the factory P Zeros (albeit 21s) with Michelin PS4s a couple of times now, and they are much better. Better tire, better performance, quieter, better wearing, etc.
I will say, both the Pirellis and the Michelins have all worn shockingly evenly on all four corners. The rear eats tires almost twice as fast as the fronts.
I too was concerned with putting non NF0 tires on, but I got over it and am glad I did.
2022 RWD with RAS, 21", 49k miles.

I wonder when North America gets the new Michelin PS5s in 21? I believe that will be even better wearing.

Thanks for all the feedback and comments. I will run the Pirellis down over the summer as I assume all 4 will be at the limit by then. Looking at the report the fronts were not flagged but only a 0.3 mm difference to the rears.

I will look into some Michelin PS4 ?

Might consider a set of winter tyres and cheaper rims for next Winter.

Only 60%? Why would they even offer replacement? Isn’t that a waste? The manufacturer builds them to perform to an acceptable performance level until they hit the wear bars. I follow the wear bars - that is why they are there!
I have always run to the wear bar. Spoke to the Porsche Center about this and simply said it was company policy.

You could actually take that to mean it's company policy to recommend customers pay for something that doesnt need doing.

I can imagine doing that in my (highly regulated) job. I can just see myself telling the FCA Compliance Officer:

'yes.....clients don't need this service at all, but we do it anyway, because it's company policy so that we make more money out of the suckers.'

I had to replace my factory 21” P Zeros (22 4S) at just over 15,000 miles. P Zeros were not available and spent just over $2000 to have all four replaced with Michelin Pilot Sport 4’s. This was done at discount tire in the Phoenix area. The fronts had 2mm more wear vs rears…

Maybe dealer policy which is good for business… but that is it. If people say their tires wear fast and they replace at 60% then there are other issues :)

P Zeros, 21", 27,500 KMS, 3 years and fronts down to wear bars, rears about 3-4mm. To be honest have been surprised how well they have worn given performance as previously have had to replace tyres every 2 years
Currently no Porsche certfied tyres, any brand, in stock anywhere in Australia other than with Porsche dealer. Non-certified available but invalidates insurance.
Dealer quote A$4450 all 4 with tracking.
I have stuck with P Zeros as previous experience Michelin on one car (Jaguar XF-S) was terrible wear - lasted about 18 months/15,000KMS only.

This is my report at 13,600 miles.
The front passenger tyre was replaced due to side wall damage so has only done about 5000 miles.
Fronts have worn worse like most people report here. Also outside corners worse than the inside.
Fairly even though?
Porsche Taycan Rear tyre wear IMG_4606

You can see how gently it has been driven because the brake pad wear is effectively nil.

Are the Goodyear F1s NF0 better than the Pirellis? I have them on my RS wheels but haven’t used them yet.

Strangely on my 23 GTS my front tyres are down to 2mm after 7K miles, they are Pirelli’s, the rears still have around 3-4mm, I have been surprised how quickly the fronts have worn

It's only against the rules if you get caught, Ian....

Don’t spread nonsense like this. There is absolutely zero liability a manufacturer can put on a consumer for choosing to use a different brand of tire.

Furthermore all manufacturer-tuned tires should be thought of as a “nice to have”, not a “must have”, and represent minor modifications to tread pattern and/or rubber compounds to address NVH and or at-the-limits handling fine tuning.

I would take the standard Michelin PS4S over the NF0 Pirellis on my Taycan 100 times out of 100 (and in fact have this exact tire on my car now).
It's not nonsense. Things might be different from America, but this is what I was told directly from two different Porsche dealerships here in the UK.
Otherwise, I would also be on 21" PS4S, as Pirelli's just don't last.

It is nonsense. Those dealers are lying to you. Do your own homework.
