Scratches on black gloss interior trim (above glovebox)

Exactly as the post reads, I've somehow picked up fine line scratches on the black gloss trim where the passenger screen would be (did not get that option). Only visible in direct sunlight. Any recommendations on how to address that would be much appreciated. Now that I have seen them, I cannot unsee them.

As soon as I peeled the protective cover off from collection on day 1 these scores were visible - poor show I say and as you say hard to unsee now. I suspect that's why they offer a Passenger Screen apart from anything else.

Recommendation from @XLR82XS looks to be the answer.

Same exact situation here. Sitting just under the protective cover. Maddening.

I didn't get the passenger screen...so have glossy plastic in that spot instead.

Mine also has the same scratches. I'm a pinball guy and have NOVUS 1/2/3 on hand so I might try that, but I'm afraid it might make it worse too.

The next car I will get the passenger display specifically to avoid this.

Go back to the dealer, if it was there day 1, they should do a warranty replacement.

By the way if anyone tries NOVUS be aware that 2 and 3 are abrasive, 3 more so than 2.

When people do significant repairs they start with 3, then 2, then 1.

I would recommend trying 1 only at first. If that doesn't work try 2/1, and only resort to 3/2/1 for really deep stuff.

Proceed at your own risk, but post pics of your results if you try it!

I've had success with using meguiars plastic x to polish out "swirls". If anything deeper than swirls, I'm using 3000grit and then the plastic x. I imagine that it can't be that bad that you'd need to wet sand and polish.

Any PPF guy can install the precut film for you in 10 minutes. It will hide all the fine scratches, so don’t even bother trying to polish as you may do more damage.

When my guy wrapped my whole car, he did all the glossy plastic as well.
